3. Maintenance

As with any type of hair color, different peekaboo highlight shades and styles will require different types of maintenance. “Bright or fashion colors will fade more quickly and require more frequent touch-ups and toners,” says Choi. “Softer hues are generally recommended for being lower maintenance because they can grow in naturally.
