There’s a certain rooster of fashion magazines available today, which leave the mainstream titles in the dust on the regular. Along with the likes of D la Repubblica, make no mistake M Le Magazine du Monde is up there with the best of them. As we head into March, said fashion supplements are starting to unveil their big spring fashion issues and M Le Magazine’s du Monde‘s latest most definitely has our undivided attention. Editor Marie-Pierre Lannelongue enlists photographic duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott for the occasion, who reunite with stylist Emmanuelle Alt. Across two covers, model Mona Tougaard (the current face of Versace) poses in M&M’s photographic studio and is dressed in new season looks from mega French fashion brands Louis Vuitton (below) and Christian Dior (after the jump).
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Fabulous,” described caioherrero the moment the covers surfaced.
“Best thing I’ve seen today. Just grand even if nothing special. Just that spark,” voiced penny609.
“The second cover works better for me. Edgy youth was never my favorite Mert & Marcus theme, but when they put effort such as this into it, it works wonders!” aracic praised.
Signifier soon chimed in and commented: “Love this. Mona looks great!”
“I do live for moments of surprise like this, when something will drop out of nowhere, with all my favorites involved and the result is nothing short of fabulous. Two terrific covers from M Le Magazine du Monde! Always adored M&M’s studio photography and the two cover images here are no exception. Not to mention the involvement of Emmanuelle Alt!” heralded vogue28.
