In all of the great Cannes Film Festival moments this year, Naomi Campbell’s look for the Furisoa: A Mad Max Saga red carpet will be tough to beat. Teaming up with Law Roach, Campbell graced the festival’s carpet in a Chanel dress that she wore 20 years ago. While her gown made headlines, her beauty look was also on-point, particularly her elegant silver French manicure that we’ll be copying all summer long.
There’s a lot to unpack here. For starters, Law Roach rarely ever works with anyone besides Zendaya, so his collaboration with Campbell was an unexpected surprise. Campbell’s black Chanel dress comes from the Fall 1996 collection, and featured pearl straps with sequins throughout that led to a gauzy sheer skirt. The supermodel posted throwback photos of when she wore the dress originally on Instagram with the hashtag #thenandnow.
It doesn’t get more iconic than wearing the same dress you did two decades ago, especially if that dress is vintage Chanel. Campbell’s entire ensemble was just as thoughtful, down to her manicure which matched the sparkly pearls on her dress.
Is it any surprise she opted for one of the biggest nail trends of the year, co-signed by celebrities like Rihanna, and Keke Palmer? Campbell opted for a mid-length square-shaped French manicure and painted on a silver shade instead of the typical white tips. The barely-there shine was the perfect companion to her sparkly sequined gown.
As for the rest of her glam, Campbell kept it simple with a pearlescent eye shadow and cat eye liner paired with rosy cheeks and a glossy pink lip. She wore her natural curls down, and they rested on the tops of her shoulders.
With the iconic Chanel pull and the glittery nails to match, Campbell’s look is as major as it gets. We know the supermodel is fashion-savvy, and it’s fun to see her shine in the manicure department as well.
