Sabrina Carpenter’s Cherry Red Nails Are a Sultry Summer Mani

Sabrina Carpenter has risen to astronomical levels of fame in the past year, and it feels so deserved. After all, she’s re-imagined the modern-day pop star with her pin-up aesthetic and ultra glowy makeup. In 2022, before everyone in the world had “Espresso” stuck in their heads, Carpenter launched a fragrance line in collaboration with Scent Beauty. On July 25, she’s launching her newest scent, Cherry Baby, with a matching red manicure, and we’d wager it’s going to revive the shade’s trendy status.

Last year, no one could stop talking about cherry red. The hue dominated makeup and fashion, and while the trend cycle has since passed, red is undeniably timeless, especially when it comes to nails. Celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Selena Gomez, and more have cosigned red nails as a summer staple, and we’re adding Carpenter’s newest cherry manicure to the list of chic red nails to re-create this summer and beyond.

For the fragrance campaign, the singer turned to her go-to manicurist, Zola Ganzorigt. Carpenter’s nails were painted with a quintessential dark, cool-toned cherry red shade. The short almond length elevated the classic shade, and the nails were topped with a glossy top coat, adding plenty of shine.

In the campaign, Carpenter is snacking on a bowl of cherries wearing a black corset top with her signature rosy, luminous cheeks. Mary Phillips created the 25-year-old’s glam for the shoot, opting for a pink highlighter on the cheeks and a red lip gloss. The singer’s hair was styled in a bouncy blowout with wispy bangs resting on her forehead, courtesy of hairstylist Scott King.

Carpenter’s newest scent comes at the perfect time: Cherry perfumes are one of the summer’s trendiest fragrances. Before the release of Cherry Baby, she launched Sweet Tooth, which had notes of vanilla; and Caramel Dream, another sweet gourmand perfume.

From cherry red nails to orange sherbert manicures, sweet, fruit-inspired manicures in bright hues have been going steady this summer, and lucky for us, they’re so easy to copy at home.
