Yesterday, for her arrival at the Venice Film Festival, she opted for a simple trench and slightly lighter blonde caramel hair, and yet, it made a statement! She stuck to the classics again for her latest red carpet appearance, opting for an LBD and chic cloud nails.

On Aug 29, the actor and director arrived on the blue carpet to represent her newest film Maria, which tells the story of famous opera singer Maria Callas, played by Jolie. Her easygoing ensemble included a long, sweeping black dress accessorized with a pretty brooch and matching black pumps. Of course, Jolie wore an equally as elegant manicure, putting her spin on the cloud nail trend.

Cloud nails are the quintessential your-nails-but-better manicure. All they require is a sheer coat of white polish that creates a natural finish that blends any imperfections. The rest of Jolie’s glam was, you guessed it, simple and refined. She kept her signature slightly smoky eye and wore a greyish shadow into her outer corner for a touch of depth. Her complexion was soft and matte with a finishing touch of bronzer in her cheeks for a radiant feel.
