Angelina Jolie is making the Venice Film Festival her runway, and we love her for it. She arrived looking like a classic movie star in a chic Dior trench coat and oversized sunnies. Then, she changed into a classic LBD and milky cloud nails for her movie’s photo call. And then, she made her grandest entrance yet wearing fur and a monochromatic beauty look.

On Aug 29, Jolie arrived on the red carpet for her new movie Maria looking as elegant and effortless as ever. She styled a fuzzy brown shawl over a draped beige gown courtesy of Atelier Versace and elevated the ensemble with the most polished pop of color, matching her red lipstick to her red nails.

ICYMI: Earlier in the day, Jolie was spotted wearing a cloud manicure, which means she must have swapped her polish in between events. The actor and director is just one of many celebrities making the case for the simple red nail trend that’s been everywhere this summer. Her manicure featured a medium almond length and a cool cherry red shade that was finished with a glossy shine.

The pop of red was undoubtedly the statement of her glam, which she kept neutral and pared-back. She complimented the red lipstick with a soft glam eye look consisting of fluttery black lashes, champagne eyeshadow, and smoked-out eyeliner. Her caramel blonde hair was parted to the side, and looked untouched from the morning’s bouncy blowout look, except it had a slightly softer finish.
