Over recent months, Anya Taylor-Joy has been a constant sight down at our local newsstand. After all, the American-born Argentine-British actress has greeted us via the covers of American ELLE, British GQ, Vogue Australia, Flaunt, and ELLE Australia. Vogue Hong Kong is the latest fashion title to jump on the Anya Taylor-Joy bandwagon. The magazine’s editorial director Kat Yeung welcomes the vibrant blonde beauty onto the all-important September 2024 edition. Captured by photographer Norman Jean Roy and styled by Dena Giannini, Taylor-Joy dials up the glamour tenfold across a trio of covers. In each of the three cover images, the Christian Dior brand ambassador is dressed in an array of looks from the fabled French fashion house’s Fall 2024 collection.

“Hum… I have mixed feelings about this!” shared DK92 upon checking out each of the covers.
“This is… not good. Can’t Dior stipulate something better when they buy covers?” asked blueorchid.
“I like the first cover, I wish Anya Taylor-Joy would relax her mouth more though,” voiced kokobombon. “I love her so I don’t mind the paid covers we’ve been seeing lately!”
Urban Stylin commented: “The mood on the first cover is good but something is off about the pose and cropping. The last cover would have been nice with a different color scheme. The second is like a 2000s-era country album cover.”
“None of the covers work,” forum member Bertrando3 critiqued.
Yet not everyone agreed. “This is type of high-glamour fashion shoot is precisely the type of shoot Anya Taylor-Joy excels at. She needs all this OTT styling because that recent bland American ELLE story proved it. I’m a fan of these covers, and the photography from Norman Jean Roy. The coloring is lovely, and I like each of the three covers,” shared vogue28.
