Ariana Grande’s ‘Wicked’ Makeup Collection Includes a Glinda-Approved Lip Oil

Kris Jenner might work hard, but the Wicked marketing team—including Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo—works harder. It’s safe to say the film is set to be one of the biggest releases this year and has the buzz to prove it. Both leading ladies have been method dressing in green and pink, brands are starting to drop themed collections, and we’re still months away from the film’s release. Luckily, Grande is giving our inner theater kid another treat to hold us over: R.e.m Beauty just announced a limited-edition Wicked-theme collection with some of the brand’s bestsellers.

On October 1, you can dive into the wonderful world of Oz with the new nine-piece collection including color-coordinated Elphaba and Galinda (later known as Glinda) sets, a shimmering eyeshadow palette, and more. Read on for everything you need to know about the launch.

The Inspiration

It makes sense that Grande’s beauty brand would create a themed collection inspired by the film, but the line is more than just pink and green packaging slapped onto her best sellers. Both the products and their packaging take inspiration from the film’s costuming and set: The doe foot in the lip oil is inspired by Galinda’s wand, for example, and the shimmery eye masks are reminiscent of the holographic tones of Galinda’s bubble. There are green eyeshadows and eyeliners as an ode to Elphaba. Thoughtful details like these that touch on Wicked’s lore are why the collab is bound to defy gravity. What’s more, the nine-piece collection has something for everyone. There’s a palette, lip oil, lip stain, hydrating skincare, and even glow drops.

The Products

Let’s start with the Ozdust Eyeshadow Palette: The exterior looks like the Book of Oz and once opened reveals 12 shadows spanning velvet mattes and icy shimmers. Then, there’s the Galinda and Elphaba makeup sets, which are just what you’d expect. One green one pink, each set includes similar products with cutesy names that pay homage to the characters and lyrics.

For the Galinda set, there’s the Lustrous Liquid Eyeshadow in a shimmery pink and lilac, the Gel Pencil Liner in a cool matte blue, Blush and Lipstick in Fuschia (inspired by the makeup used in the “Popular” scene), and a Metallic Matte Lipstick in the mauve pink You’ve Been Galinda-fied.

For the Elphaba set there’s the Lustrous Liquid Eyeshadow in forest green and champagne gold, the Gel Pencil Liner in an olive with black shimmer, both Blush and the Lipstick feature plum berry shades, and the Color Changing Lipstick shifts from a black to berry.

Next, there’s the Galinda Glow Drops, the Good Witch’s take on the viral shimmer drops. It’s a hydrating serum with peptides and hyaluronic acid that’s packed with rosy luminous pigments for an all-over glow. You can wear them underneath makeup or on their own for a subtle glow.

The So Popular pH Adaptive Lip Oil, is just what it sounds like: The iridescent oil transforms into a custom pink color based on the wearer. Lip gloss collectors will swoon over its pretty packaging and low-key shimmer.

In the lip department, there’s also the Tulip Field Lip Stain (which also adjusts to the wearer) available in three floral hues: Made in Oz, a mauve wine; Munchkin Musk, a true red; and Ozmopolitan, a bright fuchsia.

Finally, to top off the collab is the Luxury Beautification Under Eye Masks, formulated with caffeine and soothing hylaronic acid.

Wicked stans, Arianators, and beauty lovers can all admit: The hype for the new collab is real. You’ll want to set your alarms for October 1, as we’re almost certain the collection will be gone in a flash.
