Benedetta Porcaroli Vogue Italia January 2024

Elizaveta Porodina is the photographer du jour, and the world of fashion continues to embrace the Russian photographer. Throughout 2023, a select few of Porodina’s accomplishments involved commissions to capturing the covers of Vogue Spain (twice) as well as Vogue China Beauty and bagged campaigns for mega fashion brands such as Carolina Herrera and Giorgio Armani. Starting off the new year on a high, Porodina’s first gig for 2024 is the cover of Vogue Italia. The magazine’s head of editorial content Francesca Ragazzi welcomes Benedetta Porcaroli as cover girl, who fronts the January 2024 edition. In the artistic cover image which evokes the work of American artist John Singer Sargent, the Italian actress is dressed by stylist Vittoria Cerciello in one of the translucent chiffon dresses from Prada’s Spring 2024 collection.

Read below the reaction’s of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Love Elizaveta Porodina! Her work is such a dream. We miss a lot the fantasy in fashion and she gave us a bit of that here,” admired ivano.

“I love this, Elizaveta’s work has improved immensely. Lately it’s bordering on painting,” noted forum member Urban Stylin.

Vogue28 was also very much a fan, commenting: “I have become such a fan of Elizaveta Porodina over recent months, and this cover only fuels my growing admiration. The colors are heavenly, and I especially love how well the chiffon Prada has photographed!”

Not everyone, however, was so convinced. “When in doubt, use the paint-like filter, call it avant garde, and call it a day. Lazy altogether,” MON critiqued.

“This dress deserves more drama,” voiced Ihhbl.

“It immediately reminds me of the cheap version of Vogue Italia March 2016 with Rianne van Romapey,” noted an underwhelmed Carla55.
