The theme of this fashion month? Interestingly enough, it’s all about going blonde. Kendall Jenner kicked off the trend in New York when she debuted her new color inspired by ’90s icon Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. Then, Hailey Bieber went lighter with low-key caramel highlights, and, while she didn’t attend any shows, she’s still a muse. The biggest blonde debut of them all, however, comes from Blackpink’s Jennie Kim, who showed off her new color at the Chanel Ready-to-Wear 2025 show.
There’s no better place to make a statement than Paris Fashion Week, and a statement she made: The singer arrived in a pretty pastel knitwear ensemble dripping in Chanel pearls, and long supermodel blonde hair.
Before her blonde era, Kim was known for her sleek, jet-black strands. The new color is softer and warmer than icy platinum, but still bold and bright. For the show, she styled it simple and straight, letting the new color take front and center. She left a tiny bit of her darker roots, which just barely peeked through the blonde, and her hair rested right below her chest for a long dramatic length. If you didn’t know it, you’d think Kim was walking in the show, hence the magic of the supermodel blonde color.
The rest of her glam was giving off-duty supermodel. She wore a glittery taupe eyeshadow complete with winged black eyeliner and wispy lashes. Her skin was radiant and glowy with a pinch of blush and a swipe of lip gloss to highlight the natural pink shade of her lips.
“I’m starting to suspect that she is actually a doll!” wrote one commenter, while others noticed the resemblance between the popstar and Barbie.
Jennie in Chanel and newly blonde is a match made in Paris Fashion Week heaven. Oh, and it’s now officially official: this Fall, we’re in our blonde era.
