Cardi B Literally Can’t See Through Her Dramatic Cloak Bangs

Have you ever had an intrusive hair thought? Not just cutting bangs or getting a bob—like dying your hair an unconventional color or gelling your ends into a spiky mohawk? Well, Cardi B is living out my quirky hair fantasy. The singer made her arrival known at Paris Fashion Week with bangs unlike anyone’s ever seen.

Cardi B is a certified hair chameleon but her latest hair change might be her best yet. She made an appearance at the Mugler Spring 2025 Ready-to-Wear show wearing split-down-the-middle bangs that you just have to see for yourself.

There’s so much to unpack. First, the asymmetrical chop on both sides is far from practical (it legitimately covers her eyes), yet that’s what makes the bangs so fun. Although the shape might feel wacky, it’s likely an ode to the house’s sharp tailoring and sculptural details (think: the infamous Mugler bodysuit). The front pieces of her hair cascade onto her forehead to cover her eyes, creating a heart-like shape with chopped edges and a “V” cut in the center.

It looks as though the rest of her hair is tied back into a tight bun, and the front piece is likely a wig. The super shiny black glossy color is another nice touch to the editorial feel of the look. Coupled with the all-black dress and heels, you’d think Cardi was walking in the show.

The rest of her glam was just as good (obviously). Since you can’t see her eyes, it’s hard to see too much of her makeup there, but her black-lined lips are clearly the centerpiece. She lined her lips with a black liner completing the look with just a gloss to emphasize her natural lip color. A flush of natural-looking blush covered her cheekbones, and she completed the look with a pale pink manicure with dipped tips to mimic her bangs.
