Cécred’s Restoring Hair & Edge Drops Just Launched

Our hair can undergo many changes throughout our lives, but thinning is one of the most universal experiences. Of course, this new product is no different. We spoke with Cécred’s director of education and certified trichologist, Dr. Kari Williams, to learn more about the Restoring Hair & Edge Drops.

The Product

The Restoring Hair & Edge Drops are a non-greasy, fast-absorbing serum meant to be applied daily. What made Cécred want to launch this type of product next? The answer is simple, according to Dr. Williams. “Launching the Restoring Hair & Edge Drops was a natural next step for the brand because it aligns with our focus on setting the foundation for healthy hair,” she says. “Our Restoring Hair & Edge Drops support a healthy hair growth cycle. This product is essential for those experiencing thinner-looking hair for any reason—including hormone changes, stress, styling, chemical processing, and high-tension styles, or to maintain their hair health.”

The Formula

In true Beyoncé fashion, the brand took its time perfecting the drops, ensuring the formula delivered on its claims. “It took significant time to refine and perfect the Restoring Hair & Edge Drops formula,” Dr. Williams explains. “We did extensive and inclusive clinical testing to ensure its effectiveness. In addition to efficacy testing, we also performed extensive safety testing, including dermatologist testing and toxicology screening, to ensure the product is safe for regular use.”

The final formula contains proprietary biopeptide-5, known to improve hair density, and the brand’s patent-pending bioactive keratin ferment, which reduces breakage and boosts shine. The drops are also enriched with hair-strengthening fermented rice, growth-supporting biotin, vitality-enhancing rose extract, and antioxidant-rich ginger extract. 

How to Use It

Incorporating the Restoring Hair & Edge Drops into your routine is easy, but Dr. Williams says consistency is key. “To maximize the benefits of the Edge Drops, apply one dropper full daily directly to your scalp and hairline,” she says. “Gently massage the drops with your fingertips to ensure full absorption.” 

With repeated use, you’ll notice a difference in your hair beginning at three months. In a third-party clinical study over 16 weeks, participants noticed 1.5X visibly denser hair. 84% of individuals also agreed they saw their edges and hairline come back and improved scalp and hair health. According to the brand, you should see stabilized results between nine and twelve months and have fuller, stronger hair.
