There’s no doubt Chloë Sevigny is a fashion icon. She’s carved out a distinct personal style, fusing ultra-feminine silhouettes with a touch of New York edge. She’s walked runways, covered countless magazines, and is always wearing something you’ll end up adding to your wishlist.
On May 29 in Los Angeles, Sevigny arrived at the FEUD: Capote vs. The Swans panel in Los Angeles alongside stylish co-stars Demi Moore, Naomi Watts, and Diane Lane. For those unfamiliar, the show follows the lives of high-society women in the 1950s and 60s, and has made headlines for its chic costume design. At the event, Sevigny stuck to the show’s color palette of black and white, but wore the cutest accessory: a sweet super-long hair bow.
Although we thought we had reached peak bow, with Sevigny’s stamp of approval we’re taking the accessory with us through summer. And, while a classic hair bow will really never go out of style, the 49-year-old reminded us of the accessory’s whimsy. She tied her hair up in a half-up style with a long black bow that touched the bottom of her strands.
For the event, Sevigny wore a slightly off-white bubble-hemmed dress with black pumps that matched her bow. The look was simple, sophisticated, and cool, the perfect trifecta for an outfit worthy of an It Girl.
Sevigny paired her look with laidback glam, starting with a glowy complexion that looked super natural on the star. She added the tiniest tap of coral blush to her cheeks and a swipe of mascara to lengthen her lashes. Bronzer framed her cheekbones and temples, and the finishing touch was her just-bitten red lip.
If you’re reading this, you likely already know the power of a bow. But, if not, next time you feel like your hair needs just a *touch* of something fun, try out the bow with Sevigny’s half-up half-down look.
