Perhaps there’s no need to even mention that French Vogue simply hasn’t been the same since becoming Vogue France. Covers have been extremely hit and miss, and this time three years ago, Emmanuelle Alt was bestowing upon us stunning covers with the likes of Anna Ewers. Fast forward to present day and Eugénie Trochu is dropping us Chloë Sevigny as the magazine’s February 2024 cover star. The American actress and fashion darling poses for photographer Larissa Hoffman and is a vision in red. Styled by Jasmine Hassett, Chloë dons a dress from Burberry’s Spring 2024 collection, some patent leather slingbacks from Saint Laurent and a pair of Calzedonia tights to finish off the tone-on-tone look.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Not a fan of the cover photo despite how much I love red, but I’m very happy to see Chloë on it!” noted crmsn upon checking out the cover.
“Love Chloë and the 70s vibe I’m getting from this,” approved justaguy.
“A Vogue France cover I actually would want to buy. It feels more confident than most of their recent covers,” admired forum member kikifoz.
Thiago chimed in: “The cover works for me too!”
Everyone else, however, was left completely disenchanted. “I really wonder who the target audience for Vogue France is now. I used to buy Vogue Paris but I would never buy Vogue France. It’s stale and covers are no longer striking!” voiced Lax89.
“An absolutely horrible photo, of an actress I’ve never liked (she annoys me), but even she deserves better than this bloody monstrosity,” shared mepps.
