Dakota Johnson Wore Fall’s Most Popular Manicure Color To The Bvlgari Party

For New Yorkers, “New York Fashion Week” is a polarizing sentence. Some love it, others avoid it like the plague, but you can’t deny it’s a great setting for celebrity spottings. For example, we can’t stop thinking about Dakota Johnson’s opening night look. Her minimalist, sleek style was on display, which she paired with one of fall’s biggest manicure trends.

On September 4, Johnson arrived at the Bvlgari party in New York, alongside Naomi Campbell, Olivia Culpo, and more. For the occasion, Johnson matched her trendy brown manicure to her lacy Gucci slip in the same shade.

If you haven’t noticed, everyone can’t stop wearing brown manicures for fall, and we’re only six days into September. Selena Gomez tried on “toffee” brown nails, Hailey Bieber created a custom brown color for fall, and now Johnson is giving the nail trend her co-sign. She wore a dark brown, nearly black shade on her natural short square nails, which matched the black and brown tones in her dress. It was the perfect simple, yet effective approach to the trend that added another sophisticated touch to her already elegant look.

Of course, Johnson’s hair was styled in her signature flowy bangs. Hairstylist Harry Josh coiffed Johnson’s hair for the night, parting her bangs in the center to create a subtle curtain effect. Her regular a-line bangs were ever so slightly swooped to the side but still rested right at her eyebrow like usual. The rest of her brown hair was softly curled in loose waves.

The actor’s makeup was pared back, with the statement of her glam being fluttery black lashes and a blended-out soft smoky eye, courtesy of makeup artist Quinn Murphy. Her cheeks were blushed in a rosy pink shade which matched her lipstick.
