Fashion month means you can expect great looks daily (and that your favorite news writers will be booked and busy). At the Gucci show on September 20, Dakota Johnson made an appearance—the actress has been an ambassador for the brand for some time—wearing a quintessential Gucci outfit and a low-key manicure to match.
Johnson, and the rest of the world it seems, is on a minimalist manicure streak. For the Bvlgari party she opted for simple dark chocolate nails, at a Kering gala she paired a sheer manicure with her sheer gown, and for the Gucci Spring/Summer 2025 runways show, she wore low-key baby pink nails.
Although the clothes take front and center (it is fashion week after all), a manicure can still be a defining piece of a look. For Johnson, her soft pink, nearly nude nails fit right into the refined party-girl aesthetic of her look. The soft pink added a polished feel to her fun sheer dress and structured leather blazer. She stuck to her usual go-to nail combination of a short length and rounded shape with no accents or chrome shimmers, letting the pretty pink shade stand on its own.
For glam, Johnson’s makeup was complete with a glowy complexion and a nude lipstick. Of course, she styled her signature fluffy bangs that swooped to each side.
If anything, the minimalist manicure trend makes it easier than ever to get your favorite celeb’s nails at home, sans a pricey salon visit, or purchasing any ornate gemstones or nail stickers. Simply, swipe on a coat of OPI’s Bubble Bath and you’re good to go.
