The Inspiration

2024’s beauty trends can be broken down into three major archetypes: effortless quiet luxury, hyper-feminine coquette, and the goth girl; with Gabbriette falling into the latter. Think: Aughties Anglie Jolie, Rose Mcgowan, and Winona Ryder, but if they had iPhones and TikTok. She has barely-there brows that would have been a hit in the ’90s, and they’re often bleached. She usually wears smudgy black eyeliner, a nude lip, and her black hair long and sleek. The Product

When I first saw Gabbriette’s lip kit, I was instantly reminded of Pamela Anderson’s equally iconic nude lip. It somehow has that classic ’90s party girl vibe, while also being extremely wearable for every day. The Lip Combo Kit features three classic MAC products: a cool-brown Lip Pencil in the shade Stone, the Lustreglass Sheer-Shine Lipstick in the pinky nude shimmer shade Sellout, and the Squirt Plumping Gloss Stick in Simulation, a sheer cool brown gloss.

“I do my lips every single day,” Gabriette said in an Instagram video where she applies to the kit in a mini tutorial. To get her lip look, she starts by overlining with the pencil (“It’s the perfect cool brown” she says). Next, she applies Sellout, using her fingers to tap the lipstick onto the center of her lip. She also adds the lipstick to her cheeks for a faint flush. To finish the look off she taps on Simulation for a glossy finish.
