I’m not usually one to be influenced by celebrity beauty and style, but Hailey Bieber is the exception. The 27-year-old is my guiding light when it comes to inspo. In the chaos that is the celebrity beauty brand lanscape, she created Rhode, which is both effectove and aesthetically pleasing. Her outfits alway strike the perfect balance between vintage and designer, and feel relatable and cool. And, whenever she makes a hair change, I debate heading stright to the salon. Her latest sweet chocolatey brown bob haircut makes me want to dye my hair and chop it all off.
On April 20, Bieber posted a photo dump to Instagram showing off her new-ish bob (she recently took her extensions out to return to the short cut she debuted last year). She was wearing a boxy blazer that put a relaxed spin on business-casual chic. We’ll admit that sometimes bob cuts can feel stuffy and overly sophisticated, but Bieber’s is the perfect balance of cool and polished. The cut stops right below her chin and flips up at the ends. Bieber kept her classic brunette shade, but perhaps just got a fresh gloss, as her hair looks extra rich and shiny.
While Bieber might have changed her hair, she’s keeping her glow-in-the-dark Coachella nails for further notice. ICYMI, her neon green mani also shines in the dark and is incredibly easy to recreate.
For makeup, Bieber stuck to her usual—dewy skin with a hint of blush and a bronzed, matte eye. She left her brows alone and only added the tiniest amount of mascara. Her lip look felt ’90s inspired with a heavy brown liner, and a nude matte shade to compliment it.
As for her outfit, she puts a twist on the classic boardroom blazer with an oversized offering from Balenciaga. The Rhode founder also loves a no-pants moment, and while it appears like she’s wearing a micro-mini skirt, the look has that illusion. Paired with the Saint Laurent pumps and pops of bling, Bieber means business.
So long as Bieber keeps turning out looks, we’ll keep coming to her for inspiration. Perhaps there’s a dramatic hair change in the works for summer? Stay tuned.
