Hailey Bieber’s Night Sky Nails Are Perfect for Fall

Skinny jeans, leopard print, King Kylie–the Tumblr vibes are contagious. Even new mom Hailey Bieber is in on the grungy aesthetic. After a few quiet months on social media, our manicure muse returned today with a surprisingly edgy nail look.

Bieber’s cool nail design is a departure from her typical chromes and hand-painted nail designs, trading up for a—dare we say—vampy manicure. It’s minimal in nature, yes, but it’s a refreshing change from the current sea of pale pink and sheer nail styles. Bieber posted a selfie to her Instagram story, captioning it “Hi” with her new navy nails front and center.

Just in time for fall, Bieber is back with another have-to-have it manicure. Instead of expected autumnal shades of browns and ambers, she opted for a deep navy that almost looked black in the light. Although it looks like Bieber’s nails are crafted with an ombré gradient, we’re betting that it’s just a glare (or maybe a light pearly shift, courtesy of a swipe of chrome top coat). Her new nails stuck to her go-to long almond length.

In the photo, Bieber is wearing a plain black t-shirt that highlights the sparkle of her signature “B” necklace. Her hair is in a pretty updo with two strands framing her face, showing off her gold hoops. Of course, the new mom’s skin was glowy and bright complete with a monochrome blush and lip moment—it’s totally Rhode–that matched her phone case.

She’s spoken: Navy is next on the docket of trending manicure colors for fall. Is the color slightly unexpected? Definitely, but perhaps the cool blue shade is an ode to her new son, Jack Blues. Cue the “Awws!”
