Harper’s Bazaar Italia May 2024

The 2022 relaunch of Harper’s Bazaar Italia is undoubtedly one of the absolute best things to happen to the world of print in recent times. After all, a whole bunch of the magazine’s front covers with the likes of Mila van Eeten, Rianne van Rompaey, Penelope Ternes and Alix Bouthors have captivated us here at theFashionSpot to no end. Editor Daria Veledeeva welcomes back Apolline Rocco Fohrer as cover girl with the unveiling of The Love Issue. Veledeeva commissions Italian Bazaar regular Nathaniel Goldberg to capture the May 2024 cover shoot, complete with styling from Sissy Vian. In the ethereal cover image, the fresh-faced French beauty appears angelic wearing a white creation from Demna’s Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2024 collection.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“I really hate thematic issues, like ‘The Love Issue’ and ‘The Hope Issue’. No one cares about it and for me its lazy to make an issue following just one theme. Why do Harper’s Bazaar Italia keep doing this? It’s so annoying,” vented matheus_s.

“What I don’t like is that their thematic issues don’t represent the theme – that is lazy,” Xone chimed in.

“It feels a bit repetitive as Apolline was on their cover a few months ago and it very much resembles their last summer’s cover with Felice Nova Noordhoff,” voiced Srdjan.

Also not exactly jumping for joy was ah ah, commenting: “Too repetitive and flat!”

Harper’s Bazaar Italia has indeed carved out an identity for themselves with these Nathaniel Goldberg covers, which I’ve kinda come to appreciate. Apolline was just on the December issue and the cover does indeed resemble Felice Nova Noordhoff’s from last year. However, I cannot help but to be smitten with it. The cover is so beautiful in its simplicity,” admired vogue28.
