Kulfi Beauty’s new Lassi Lips Staining Oils bring the beauty of lip stains and oils into one product. With the launch, Ganjoo sought to address the common pain points associated with lip oils and stains. “During our customer research, we discovered that many of our community members wanted transfer-proof, long-lasting colors in a hydrating formula,” she shares. “Traditional lip oils do not deliver on pigment, while traditional lip stains feel drying on the lips and are hard to find in a diverse range of colors.”
With this in mind, the brand developed its lightweight lip oils according to strict color-theory standards. “Our color theory standards involve extensive testing on diverse skin tones and undertones to ensure each shade is flattering and wearable for everyone, which means balancing both warm and cool tones,” Ganjoo explains. “For Lassi Lips, we carefully developed six shades ranging from neutrals to bold shades that complement various undertones.”

The Product
The Lassi Lips Staining Oil imparts tons of pigment (the oil is buildable), applying glossy but drying down to a matte, long-wearing stain. Plus, the formula delivers ample hydration, keeping your lips comfortable while you wear it. “The formula is 35% water, which makes it very lightweight,” Ganjoo adds. “It has the perfect balance of oil and water—the oils deliver a glossy shine that creates voluminous, luscious lips with a radiant glow.”
The formula also contains mango seed oil, coconut oil, and vitamin E. “Mango seed oil is rich in fatty acids that moisturize and protect,” Ganjoo explains. “Coconut oil has antimicrobial properties and helps seal in moisture. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps repair and protect the skin. Together, they create a formula that moisturizes intensely without feeling heavy or sticky.”
How To Use It
The oil’s wand makes it easy to apply the formula precisely. “It has a tapered shape that hugs the contours of your lips, allowing for smooth, even coverage,” Ganjoo points out. “We’ve also ensured the wand picks up just the right amount of product for comfortable application without overloading.”
Ganjoo recommends starting with a thin layer and gradually swiping more onto your lips, depending on your desired intensity. “The staining power builds the color beautifully and lasts, so you can re-apply for a freshly glossed look or simply swipe once for a subtle all-day stain,” she says.
My Review
From masks to glosses, I can never have enough lip care products in my kit. Like any beauty enthusiast, I swatched the Lassi Lips Staining Oil on my hand as soon as I received it. Once I saw the color range, I was impressed, as the swatches on my hand were highly pigmented. Eight hours later, I looked at my hand and noticed the little swatches were still where I had left them. The staining power in these lip oils is no joke.
When it was time to apply the Lassi Lips Staining Oils to my lips, I went in with a light swipe. The oils go on like water. There’s lots of slip, and it doesn’t feel like you have any product on your lips. The wand makes applying it super easy without getting pigment everywhere.
Since I prefer a more subtle finish, I applied two thin layers of the product and let it dry down completely before applying a clear lip gloss on top. I loved doing this method with the shades Lucky Lotus (the color worn in the photos below) and First Sari. With each shade, my lips were left with a soft flush of color. Lucky Lotus, in particular, enhances my natural lip color beautifully. I also appreciate that the stain holds true to its long-lasting claim. After wearing it all day and taking a shower, my lips still held onto the stain, and there were no signs of feathering or flaking.
Overall, I’m not much of a colorful lip girl, so I wouldn’t reapply this throughout the day since the formula becomes more intense with each layer. However, I definitely see myself swiping on one layer to enhance my natural lip color on light makeup days or as a base for my favorite lip combo. If you’re someone who likes their lip color to last all day, I would definitely incorporate these in your routine. Just proceed with caution; the more product you apply, the more pigmented the product becomes.
