J. Lo’s Micro French Tips Are the Perfect End of Summer Manicure

August marks a slow period—by this point of summer, we’ve pretty much seen it all, and that goes for manicures, too. On the border of summer to fall, nail trends are all over the place leading to unexpectedly cool looks, like Jennifer Lopez’s latest manicure. Her new nails put a low-key spin on the classic French design.

On August 17, Lopez was spotted out and about in West Hollywood wearing a breezy black sundress, large sunglasses, and a classic summer raffia tote. If you blinked, you might have missed her teeny tiny micro French manicure, the perfect put-together accessory to her laidback California outfit.

Quick refresher: A micro French manicure features a very thin line on the tips of the nails where the chunky white half-moon would usually be. In Lopez’s case, her square-shaped nails had a beige, milky base which was complimented by a thin white line. The low-key take on the design feels elevated and cool, especially so when paired with lots of jewelry. The 55-year-old’s look was giving luxurious Los Angeles housewife, in the best way.

The rest of her glam was hidden by her oversized bug-like sunnies—very L.A.. Her golden hair was perfectly tousled, framing her face with swooping side pieces and laying in loose waves during her coffee run.
