Joy Sunday’s Shimmery Makeup Is Perfect For Summer Soirées

Joy Sunday is a style star in the making. The actress, known for her roles in Wednesday and Bad Hair, has a bright, joyful wardrobe (see what we did there) and, is one of Lancôme’s newest global ambassadors. At the brand’s House of Idole pop-up party in London, the 27-year-old arrived wearing an ethereal glittery pink makeup look that we’ll be re-creating for this summer’s events and beyond.

Working with makeup artist Ngozi Edeme, Sunday used Lancôme products to achieve her shimmery party-ready glam. Her glow-from-within complexion was courtesy of the brand’s La Base Pro Primer which she layered underneath the Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation and paired with the Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer to highlight the high points of her face.

Her glowy eyeshadow look was the perfect pop of shine. Edeme lined her water and lash line with the Idôle Liner in Black and crafted a sleek cat-eye shape. Glittery silver eyeshadow covered her eyelids and she used the Monsieur Big Mascara to get her fuffy black lashes. The statement of her makeup was undoubtedly her blush and lipgloss. To achieve the bright flush of baby pink on her cheeks, Sunday wore Lancôme’s L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in 355 Rose Cocktail. Her lips were lined with a black lip liner, and Edeme actually used Le Crayon Khol Eye Liner to create a defined shadow on her lips. In the center, she contrasted the dark shade with a light pink using L’Absolu Rouge Intimatte Lipstick in 320 Hush Hush and topped the lipstick off with a swipe of Juicy Tubes in 01 Pure.

For the event, Sunday collaborated with stylist Darryl Glover and wore a pretty white corset top from Stanaia that had exaggerated draping in the sleeves. The actress paired the top with pastel pink gloves that matched her satin mini-skirt and accessorized with silver shoes and a silver top-handle bag that matched her makeup’s shimmery, pink vibe.

Sunday’s chic and shimmery glam had all the elements of a great party-ready look: a little sparkle, pretty blush, and an ultra glossy lip moment. We’ll be taking inspiration from the actress for our next going-out look.
