Kristina O’Neill’s departure from WSJ. Magazine came as quite the shock back in April 2023, and we here at theFashionSpot, believed we would come to witness the magazine’s decline. However, we need not have worried. Covers recently starring Kylie Jenner, SZA and Angelina Jolie have impressed us to no end and WSJ‘s newly-installed editor Sarah Ball secures model-of-the-moment Kaia Gerber for Spring 2024. The model who has since turned to the world of acting, graces the lens of forum favorite Lachlan Bailey on location in Miami, Florida and poses within the surroundings of a motel and down on the nearby beach. Dressed by stylist Geraldine Saglio, the all-American beauty rocks head-to-toe Celine in the nonchalant cover photograph.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot forum members:
“A girl who was raised in Malibu posing as lower middle class for clout,” scoffed A.D.C.
“Kaia is always so stiff in front of camera and on runways. She is pretty like Miss America, but not a gifted model,” chimed in a disapproving balmain1914.
Benn98 wasn’t feeling the outcome of the shoot either, commenting: “God, the duo of Geraldine and Lachlan is so tired. All that’s missing is the golden fields. Even Kaia looks barely present at this shoot!”
Not everyone, however, was left so displeased. “I… love it! WSJ. Magazine, Kaia Gerber, Lachlan Bailey, Geraldine Saglio, Malibu – all such a winning combination for me and I’d take this over the VAST majority of Vogue covers I’ve came across this month,” raved vogue28.
“Kaia’s cover story is brilliant, she’s gorgeousssss. Beauty, sex-appeal and power. Kaia looks mature, she looks strong, great eye contact, the poses are working well, everything feels very cool and modern,” instantly approved forum member Bertrando3.
