Under the tutelage of Inés Lorenzo, Vogue Spain is undoubtedly one of the stronger editions of Vogue within the European market. Seven months into 2024 and Lorenzo has already bestowed upon us the likes of Karolina Spakowski, Penélope Cruz, Lila Moss, Bad Gyal, Amelia Gray and Jill Kortleve as cover stars. Impressive, right? Added to the list with the unveiling of the Spanish fashion bible’s July 2024 edition is Karol G. Via the lens of Micaiah Carter, the Colombian singer (who has previously graced the cover of Vogue Mexico) strikes a pose decked out in head-to-toe Loewe, as selected for the occasion by stylist Natasha Kalila Hester.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Terrible! Could not have been the best cover option…” noted Xone.
“Terrible. And how many different backdrops do we have to see? I actually like backdrops on photographs but come on, this is a lot!” exclaimed Ihhbl.
Majorly underwhelmed also was avonlea002: “Is it that hard to find people with actual interest for the job they are supposed to do? Looking at these Vogue editions you get the impression that everyone responsible couldn’t care less. It’s embarrassing.”
“These people are getting paid for this?” asked Creative.
“They truly truuuuuly couldn’t have found a better facial expression?? Ill-fitting dress. What’s up with the backdrop? The layout is also poor,” Bertrando3 called out.
“More often than not, Vogue Spain is the stronger and more stable Euro edition of Vogue when it comes to covers. This, however, is inexcusable and downright hideous. Never rated Micaiah Carter as a photographer and not sold on this whatsoever. So unattractive,” voiced vogue28.
