If you aren’t familiar, Keke Palmer does it all. She performed at this year’s BET Awards, has been hosting the NBC game show Password, and is raising her son, Leodis. No matter what she’s doing, her beauty game never disappoints and she’s not one to shy away from a big change. And her latest hair transformation is ready for the boardroom.
Corporatecore is taking over fashion and beauty, and Palmer’s latest hairstyle means business. On July 9, the 30-year-old posted a slideshow to Instagram that included a few selfies, showing off her new bronde look. Palmer swapped her signature black hair for a lob cut that’s not quite blonde, but not quite brown, and is slightly longer than your typical bob haircut.
Her new bronde color and shorter cut are the perfect mid-point of summer fun and office casual. Palmer opted for darker roots that blended beautifully into a caramel honey color, with added pops of lighter, lived-in blonde highlights. Her flippy lob rested right at her shoulders and had a bouncy lift at the ends. While everyone is cutting carefree bobs and bleaching their hair this summer, the multi-hyphenate is making the case for the easygoing bronde lob, which is arguably easier to up-keep throughout the year.
Palmer’s makeup in the photos is reminiscent of 2016’s soft glam era. She wore full brows and fluttery black lashes that made a statement even behind her glasses. Her cheeks were bronzed and glowy with a tap of blush, and she finished the look off with a pink glossy lip.
Palmer’s new change could be a wig, but nevertheless, it’s a refreshing and chic style for the star. She paired it with a white satin suit dress, layered with a matching white button-up and clear glasses.
