Keke Palmer’s Baby Bangs Are So Cute for Fall

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and if Keke Palmer’s latest Instagram post could talk, it would have a whole lot to say about bangs. Or maybe, it would only have a little—the multi-hyphenate debuted a tiny take on the polarizing hairstyle ahead of fall.

On September 22—coincidentally, the first day of the fall equinox—Palmer posted a slideshow of photos to her Instagram, with her new haircut front and center. “A night out with me and my basket bag,” she captioned the post, which detailed her experience seeing Lil Kim live in concert. Rather than Megan Thee Stallion’s blunt bangs or Sabrina Carpenter’s wispy curtain bangs, Palmer put her own spin on the style with a baby fringe.

The changing seasons call for fun hair switch-ups, and what’s more bold than bangs? The wispy fringe sat right at her eyebrows, and looks so natural on the hair chameleon. The shorter bangs flipped inward, creating some volume, and the rest of her hair was styled in a sleek blowout, showing off her long layers.

Palmer isn’t shy when it comes to trying on new hairstyles, but we’d argue her bangs feel like a tame (but still chic!) surprise. For glam, she kept it simple with a bronzy soft look that included golden highlighter on her nose, eyes, and cheeks; a flush of red blush; and fluffy black lashes. A swipe of red lip gloss was the finishing touch.

“‘Should I get bangs now?’- everywoman watching this” added a commenter, followed by the usual comments like “queen” and “stunning.” With all the hair transformations rolling in (Kendall Jenner just went blonde) a trip to the salon feels necessary.
