Kendall Jenner’s Strawberry Red Nails are a Summer Treat

If Kendall Jenner has a manicure, you can likely guess it’s a simple one. She skips the chromes and pearls, and often sticks to just plain polish and a glossy top coat—it’s very model off-duty, if you will. Just last week she co-signed the butter yellow nail trend with a summery shade of polish, and this week, she’s opting for an even brighter shade.

Gucci’s Summer Celebration, held on July 19 in Los Angeles, re-ignited the summer vibes. There’s just something about a bunch of stylish celebrities and a performance from Miley Cyrus at the Chateau Marmont that makes me crave an outdoor summer soirée of my own. Kendall Jenner arrived at the party wearing a black LBD paired with a strawberry-red manicure.

Red nails have been a go-to polish choice this summer for everyone from Selena Gomez to Bella Hadid, and now Jenner is getting in on the fun. While it’s definitely having a moment, does a classic red manicure ever really go out of style? It’s equal parts sophisticated and easygoing, and the 28-year-old’s bold red shade added a nice touch of color to her otherwise neutral outfit. On her natural nails, which have been shaped in a square, she opted for a summery red shade that’s reminiscent of a strawberry.

For the event, Jenner wore a black scoop-neck mini-dress that was slightly cinched at the waist by a skinny black belt. Her lacy bralette peeked out of the dress’s side cut-out, adding to the night-out feel of her look. She finished her all-Gucci ensemble with black slingback heels and a top-handle bag.

On Instagram, Jenner shared another look at her nails which matched with her red bathing suit and drink (could it be strawberry lemonade?). Strawberry nails, though a bit basic, just sound cute and ideal for enjoying the sunny weather. We’ll be wearing the shade throughout the summer and beyond.
