Kylie Jenner Dyes Her Hair Teal for First Time Since 2016

Our prayers have been answered: King Kylie has made a return. Kylie Jenner dipped a toe back into her candy-colored hair era this spring with pastel pink hair, but she just brought back her most iconic look from her 2014-2016 reign as the queen of Tumblr.

On September 5, Jenner took to Instagram to reveal her new shade. In a series of selfies, she showed off her vibrant turquoise hair, which was giving mermaid vibes. While in 2016 Jenner would have opted for dip-dyed tips, this time, her hair was saturated in the bright shade from root to end. It looks like she kept her hair to her usual mid-back length, and added in some soft curls. She paired the reveal with the perfect caption, “teal the end of time.” She kept the rest of her look simple, allowing the bold shade to really pop against a white distressed T shirt, silver rings, and natural makeup.

Of course, fans in the comments were thrilled to see the return of this iconic Jenner look. “The perfect shade of teal, WE ARE SO BACK 🥲🩵,” read one comment, with hundreds of others sharing the sentiment.

We’ve been predicting a return to early 2010s aesthetics for months, and there’s another detail in Jenner’s post that confirms it may be finally happening: her manicure. She opted for medium-length, square nails in a jet black color. Sure, black nails are pretty timeless, but something about the length, shape, and color combined is begging to be paired with a Givenchy rottweiler sweater and Blk water bottle.

All signs point to the new shade being a wig (the pink hair was), but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, we’ll be listening to “Three Strikes” on repeat.
