Kylie Jenner’s Floating Gem Nails Are Going Straight to Our Summer Mood Board

It’s officially Leo season, and congratulations are in order for Kylie Jenner, who just celebrated her 27th birthday. Of course, she celebrated with a brand new set of nails that felt especially authentic to her more low-key approach to style and beauty.

On August 12, Jenner posted a slideshow of photos from her birthday celebration to Instagram, claiming in the caption that it was her “best birthday ever.” A cute photo of her son Aire next to a cake kicked off the photo dump from her stunning party in the Bahamas. Jenner’s birthday nails were front and center, and for the occasion, she swapped out flashy chromes for a low-key twist on the bejeweled manicure.

Crafted by Jenner’s go-to manicurist Zola Ganzorigt, her birthday nails were surprisingly simple but still elevated—perfectly in line with her current style. Ganzorgit decorated a bubble-bath style manicure (the mogul’s nails were painted with a barely-there pink that resembled the iconic color) with multicolored gemstones on each nail. Jenner’s pinky was adorned with one blue stone, her pointer finger was detailed with two green peridot-esque gems, and her ring and middle finger were dotted with a large pink and purple jewel. Jenner’s not one to rock an ornate, jewel-encrusted manicure, so this style was a refreshing take on the trend that’s perfect for the manicure minimalist.

Rumor has it that Timothée Chalamet was also in attendance, but he was (sadly) left out of the photo dump (though Instagram sleuths spotted him in the very background of one of her stories).

Since last year, Jenner has opted for softer makeup and beauty looks, which have been reflected in her choice of manicures, such as her summer garden nails which featured tiny little hand-painted bugs on a simple nude base. As for her birthday nails, to re-create them at home start with a your-nails-but-better shade of polish and top with colorful gems.
