Megan Thee Stallion Tried Out Spiky Blue Bangs

Thee hair chameleon strikes again: Megan The Stallion debuted back-to-back hair changes this week. Earlier this week, the star revealed creamsicle orange hair that captured summer’s bright energy. And on June 26, she debuted a new hair color and style, paying homage to a popular Japanese artist.

Even amidst a U.S. tour, a new album coming out, and a viral Amazon commercial, Meg still has time to live up to her hair chameleon status. On Instagram yesterday, the singer posted a photo dump of selfies transforming into the popular Japanese digital singer, Hatsune Miku, complete with spiky blue hair and a large pink bow.

This isn’t the first time the 29-year-old took inspiration from her favorite anime. The cotton candy bob that she wore for her “BOA” music video was inspired by One Piece’s “Pirate Empress” Boa Hancock, who’s known as the “Snake Princess.” Fans will often refer to the rapper as “Megan Thee Cosplayer” given her love for anime, manga, and Japanese art.

This time, she transformed into Hatsune Miku, a popular Japanese digital artist who has even performed at Coachella. Megan donned Miku’s signature spiky blue bangs that framed her cheeks, with long blue pigtails adorned in a bow. The ocean blue shade was the perfect mid-point between turquoise and cobalt blue.

For her outfit, Megan Thee Stallion dressed up in an intricate milkmaid style dress with a bustier bodice and pink ruffled skirt. She paired it with knee-high socks and pink-heeled boots.

Her makeup was standard: Bronzed and glowy, with fluttery lashes and a glossy lip. The statement of her look was without a doubt her bright blue hair.

Her cosplaying looks are always some of her most interesting to date. We are once again asking: Megcon when?
