Megan Thee Stallion’s Butterfly Manicure Is Perfect for Summer Whimsy

I’m writing this with Megan Thee Stallion’s new single “Mamushi” stuck in my head—and I’d be willing to bet you’ve heard it recently too. Her presence is everywhere: on the radio, on social media, and across our summer moodboards. Luckily, no matter her busy schedule, she always makes time to show off an inspiring manicure.

While in London for the U.K. leg of her Hot Girl Summer Tour, Stallion posted a slideshow of selfies to Instagram. Coupled with the debut of pastel-hued skunk hair, a set of new summer-ready nails were featured front and center.

Stallion’s manicures are known for a few things: a long square or stiletto shape and a work-of-art feel. Her newest set is no exception. The 29-year-old painted an ombre effect on long, square-shaped nails. Every finger (except for her middle) had a coat of ombré turquoise polish with a darker, vibrant hue at the tip. Her middle finger, however, stood out: On a black base, the same turquoise polish was painted to create the outline of a butterfly wing.

Nails inspired by bugs are surprisingly nothing new. Kylie Jenner opted for a summer garden manicure a few weeks ago, with hand-painted ants, bees, and worms on each nail. Stallion’s butterfly inspiration feels apt for the warm weather, without feeling too on the nose.

In the photos, Stallion is wearing a white mesh long-sleeved top styled with a pair of purple shorts that matched her hair. Her soft-glam, which consists of fluttery lashes, luminous cheeks, and glossy lips, has become a staple for the star, especially when it comes to her social media selfies.

From her colorful metallic nails to cotton candy bobs, Stallion’s everchanging glam always keeps us on our toes.
