Christine Centenera has now been at the helm of Vogue Australia for a whole twelve months. In such a short space of time, Centenera has given the Aussie fashion bible a complete overhaul and from Hailey Bieber as her very first cover star to last month’s unconventional Nicole Kidman cover – Centenera has meant business. The editor’s latest accomplishment is securing the supermodel of all supermodels as the mag’s March 2024 cover star: Naomi Campbell. Returning to Vogue Australia’s front cover for a third time throughout her remarkable career, the modeling icon poses for photographer Casper Kofi. In the crisp black and white cover photograph, Naomi (who just released a collection in collaboration with Boss) poses in a mashup of Issey Miyake and Rick Owens, as chosen for the occasion by stylist Alexandra Carl.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Someone please stop her. I’d rather see an actual goat,” cried out dontbeadrag.
“So tired of seeing Naomi! She does not bring anything to the conversation. Her posing skills are not as elevated as the used to be and the formula is painfully the same,” voiced thiago.
MyNameIs was also far from overjoyed, stating: “Let’s retire Naomi Campbell. Enough.”
“What a letdown. Nothing works. It looks like she just had a blepharoplasty and it’s not healing properly,” pointed out forum member oaklee91.
Bertrando3 commented: “NOPE. Closed eyes, no hands, overwhelming styling and Naomi doesn’t emote anything anymore!”
“Awful, seen far better from Naomi Campbell and Vogue Australia for that matter. Dumbfounded how Christine Centenera thought this was worthy of print! The styling on the cover is an absolute eyesore and Naomi’s expression isn’t helping matters either. Shame on all involved,” scolded vogue28.
