My shiny forehead is no match for Benefit’s new Porefessional Power Powder. This formula is ultra-fine and sifted—rub it between your fingers, and you won’t even know it’s there. But despite the lightweight texture, it mattifies my forehead even on the sweatiest of September days. It immediately blurs away any shininess while still letting your skin look like skin.

Aveeno has been my family’s staple brand for as long as I can remember, and I especially love the daily moisturizing lotion. The brand just launched a richer cream version that offers more of that moisture that my skin craves when it comes to body care products. My skin instantly looks and feels nourished, and this is a product I know will keep me covered through the winter.

Glossier Balm Dotcom in Hot Cocoa

I’m petitioning for Glossier’s Balm Dotcom in Hot Cocoa to no longer be a limited edition shade but to be sold year-round. From the deep brown shade to the cozy scent, it’s the perfect fall lip product. It glides smoothly onto my lips, is long-lasting, and doesn’t have that sticky feeling we all know and dislike. 10/10, no notes on this one.

Everlane The Utility Barrel Pant

I have officially hopped on the barrel jean trend wagon, and honestly, I love it here. The Utility Barrel Pant from Everlane has been the perfect introduction for me to try out the trend for multiple reasons. I usually have an issue finding jeans that fit my waist and hips perfectly, and these jeans do just that. They also come in tall lengths, which is a plus as I have long legs. I’m not usually a huge fan of jeans, but these are comfortable and flattering, so I’ll keep these in my weekly rotation.

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Deep Hydration Serum

Although I have combination skin, I’d say I’m usually on the dryer side of the scale. I crave products that penetrate the skin and provide moisture, and I’m not against a glow, either. Summer Fridays’ jet lag line has a cult following, and the latest edition, the deep hydration serum, will surely hit the ranks of the beloved Jet Lag Mask. The lightweight texture is packed with squalane, glycerin, and a skin-calming blend of colloidal oatmeal, aloe, and arnica to improve the look and feel of the skin. I saw major results after the first use. I’m looking forward to keeping this little powerhouse in my daily routine.

One of my little rules (and I have many—what can I say, I’m a Capricorn) is that if I get several compliments on something beauty-related, I have to put it in my Ed Picks. I’m not exaggerating when I say I received at least one mani compliment a day over the two weeks I wore these nails. And yes, you read that right: These nails lasted me two full weeks. Patrick Ta has done it again—this time, in the base category. The Hydra-Luxe Luminous Skin Perfecting Foundation feels super lightweight, but the pigment punches way above: It does such a phenomenal job blurring imperfections. And the finish is perfectly situated between natural and radiant, so I look like I’ve just been drinking enough water and getting enough sleep, even when I haven’t. I’ve been wearing this one pretty much every day since I received it.

It has a thick and creamy consistency that I love but with the holding power of a light gel. I love using it for daily touch-ups to keep my curls looking juicy and defined all day.

My fall-winter workbag recently had to take a trip to the purse graveyard (RIP). So, with that, I needed a new work bag. One thing about me is that I loathe mixing black and brown leather. To avoid that problem altogether, I chose the gorgeous Cuyana System Tote in Dark Olive. The bag goes with nearly everything in my wardrobe and fits every item I need daily, including my lunch bag, gym clothes, and a pair of sneakers. I prefer the 16-inch tote without any inserts as I like to organize my bag with pouches, but a 13-inch size and organization tools are available. Recently, the brand came out with a zippered version of the bag, and I’m incredibly tempted to buy it in the limited-edition Cherry hue!

Bath & Body Works Autumn Woods 3-Wick Candle

I’m a simple girl with simple pleasures. And one of those pleasures is going candle shopping for the cold-weather seasons. I always have to hit up Bath & Body Works this time of year, as its candles A—are so nostalgic, B—smell great, and C—provide a long-lasting scent. Grabbing multiples of Flannel, Fresh Fall Morning, and Marshmallow Fireside is always necessary. But my favorite scent of all time will always be Autumn Woods. It smells just like the pavement after a fall rainstorm and cozying up at night with a good book in a cologned armchair.

Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-eyes Volumizing and Curling Mascara

I’ve been testing this new tubing mascara from Charlotte Tilbury for months, and I can’t say enough good things about it. The curved brush makes it easy to grip the lashes at the base and evenly distribute the product from root to tip. The formula has great buildability without getting goopy; it makes my lashes look lifted, voluminous, and beautifully defined. It’s probably the most voluminous tubing mascara I’ve tested (and I’ve tried dozens), making it great for people who want dramatic lashes that don’t require much effort to remove.

Phlur Vanilla Skin Eau de Parfum

After enjoying the brand’s body mist in this viral scent, I was thrilled to learn that it’s now available in an EDP. The fine fragrance has more depth and woody notes than the mist, which I personally adore. On the skin, this scent is sexy and subtle, making it the perfect choice as we welcome the cooler seasons. Notes of sugar crystal, cashmere woods, and vanilla create a beautiful harmony, resulting in a fragrance that’s equal parts warm and woody.

Ciele Bronze & Protect SPF 50+ Bronzing Concentrate

I’m not usually a huge fan of bronzing drops because I find them too sheer and dewy and ultimately too hard to work with, but this new liquid bronzer from Ciele is fantastic. Not only do they offer SPF protection and rich pigmentation, but they blend into the skin effortlessly, creating a subtle radiant finish and a healthy dose of bronze color. I also find the formula to be long-wearing, which is a serious bonus.

Mara Niacinamide + Copper Clear Skin Mineral Milk Acne Treatment

Most skincare geared towards acne tends to be drying on the skin, which can actually make it look dull and dehydrated. This serum is so unique because it targets blemishes using salicylic acid, mandelic acid, and niacinamide while maintaining a milky, nourishing consistency. I apply two pumps at night and I find that it helps calm my skin, tamper breakouts, and provide necessary hydration. It’s truly a unicorn product on the market.

Liis Of True Minds Eau de Parfum

The most transitional part of my beauty routine is my fragrance wardrobe. I usually keep three to four bottles of perfume on my vanity to choose from every morning. While curating my new fall scents, I found Liis Of True Minds, which quickly earned a spot in my new rotation. Notes of nutmeg, suede, and golden patchouli create a rich, deep scent. I will preface that I love to wear cologne, so I enjoy a more traditionally masculine fragrance. I like layering this scent with lighter perfumes to create the perfect balance.

Trust me when I say that these are the perfect fall ballet flats. Living in New York, I am constantly running around on the subway, to the office, or on miscellaneous errands. I need fashionable and comfortable shoes that require no break-in period. Since I tried them on the first day, I have worn these flats four to five times a week. The red color and square toe are trendy yet versatile to many different outfits. Plus, my feet have experienced zero pain even after hours and hours of wear. I will be ordering a few more pairs in different colors before they sell out!

My apartment smells like there’s a pie in the oven—if only it were edible.

Baby Foot Exfoliation Foot Peel in Lavender 

This product is definitely not new, but it’s new to me—and after trying it out this month, I’m obsessed. Admittedly, watching your foot skin peel off is very gross but so incredibly satisfying. It took about a week for the peel to kick in, but once it did its thing, my feet were softer than ever before.

At a Swarovski press preview a while back, I fell in love with the brand’s Idyllia collection—so while I recently bought this ring on a whim after a Venus Williams talk held at the flagship, the purchase was a little more strategic than it seems. I’ve been looking for more open-faced designs, and I find the crystal pearl and surrounding stones so mesmerizing. The crystals are set against a darker background, which is ideal for my everyday ring stack, a mix of metallics and hints of black and white. I can’t stop staring at it, and I’m thrilled to have a bit more variety in my collection.

Makeup by Mario SurrealSkin 16hr Soft Setting Spray

I only use setting sprays on occasion because many require bracing for impact and are harder to apply evenly, but this Makeup by Mario launch may have changed the game for me. The spray gently mists onto the skin for a dispersed, natural finish that doesn’t lean matte or dewy and absolutely prolongs my makeup. The skincare benefits are a major plus, too, as I love feeling like I’m doing something nice for my complexion, even on full-glam days.

It lathers really well and gently removes all the gunk from my hair and scalp without leaving that squeaky-clean, stripped feeling behind. After cleansing my hair, my curls feel incredibly moisturized and look super shiny. Not to mention, they smell amazing, thanks to the shampoo’s warm, amber fragrance.

Abercrombie & Fitch Curve Love High Rise Vintage Straight Jean

My denim collection was in need of a refresh, and Abercrombie & Fitch’s Curve Love High Rise Vintage Straight Jeans have been the perfect addition. Even though they feature a high-rise waist, they’re incredibly comfortable due to the vintage stretch fabric. I also love that the brand’s Curve Love style puts an end to the dreaded waist gap, allowing the jeans to hug your waist and thighs perfectly.

I’ve been a Diptyque boy since my very first sniff of Philosykos, and their new luxury fragrance line, titled Les Essences de Diptyque, feels like a poetic continuation of the fragrance house’s reverence for nature. This time, though, they’re prescribing scent stories to natural treasures that don’t necessarily have scents. I found solace in their mother-of-pearl fragrance, Lunamaris—a delicately tuned skin scent with notes of rose, incense, and amber that remind me of fuzzy childhood memories. Its approachable warmth makes it a perfect fragrance for my fall scent.

With a convenient click-and-go pen application, this concealer has a skin-hugging formula that my skin drinks up—it’s super hydrating and covers my dark circles in a way that doesn’t feel artificial. I don’t say this lightly: This concealer got my eye bags through New York Fashion Week.

Saie Glowy Super Gel Lightweight Dewy Multipurpose Illuminator

After years of over-highlighting in high school and college, I’ve pretty much completely removed the product from my routine. That is until I tried Saie’s gel illuminator. You can wear it under your makeup for a glowy base, but I like applying a tiny bit straight to my cheekbones for a luminous finish that doesn’t look powdery at all—just like you’re naturally dewy. Since the product size is ample, I apply it to my collarbones and shoulders to add some glow to my body as well.

Milani Highly Rated Lash Extensions Mascara

I tested a bunch of tubing mascaras last month, and I was most impressed with this $12 formula from Milani, which rivaled many of the pricier options. The Lash Extensions version of this mascara lengthens so seamlessly that it really does look like I have lash extensions with just a couple of swipes. It gives my lashes a dramatic look without feeling heavy, and I love that it’s such a breeze to remove.
