Rihanna’s J’Adore Dior Film Gets Release Date

Dior has set a movie release date for Rihanna’s J’Adore Dior film for Sunday, September 1, at 8 p.m. CET. The brand revealed the premiere date and time on the official Dior Beauty Instagram page. The “Umbrella” singer worked alongside director and photographer Steven Klein on the new J’Adore Dior film. A teaser shows the 36-year-old walking through the gates of the palace in high heels, as reported by Elle. Other photographs from the campaign showcase her in a new neckpiece, resembling the fragrance’s eminent bottle and caramel-blonde hair.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dior first teased a “new queen” for J’Adore on Instagram in June, only to reveal that it was Rihanna. The “Oceans 8” actress has had a longstanding relationship with the brand. Moreover, fans had already started speculating she was the perfume’s new face following her appearance at Dior’s Fall 2022 ready-to-wear show and Spring 2024 haute couture show.

Rihanna’s hazel eyes, skin tone, and the color of Versailles seemingly complement the J’Adore Dior campaign, which features gold tones. The brand called it a “metamorphosis and a coronation between a pop idol and a legendary perfume.”

Dior’s J’Adore has existed for a quarter century after perfumer Calice Becker created it in 1999. Before Rihanna’s inclusion, Charlize Theron had remained the face of J’Adore for two decades. Theron will now serve the French luxury fashion brand’s style, jewelry, and skin care ambassador.

J’Adore’s newest version is a creation by master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, who has been a perfume creation director since 2021. The film, starring Rihanna, premieres on September 1 at 8 p.m. CET.
