The Spring 2025 season of Milan Fashion Week is in full swing. Last night, closing out the second day of Milanese fashion festivities, Fausto Puglisi unveiled his latest Roberto Cavalli Spring 2025 collection. The show marked the first since the Italian fashion house’s founder passed away in April. The collection opened with a series of all-white looks, drawing inspiration from Puglisi’s hometown in Messina, Italy. Puglisi, the creative force behind Roberto Cavalli since 2020, paid tribute to the legendary designer with a brigade of the late founder’s supermodel muses. Eva Herzigova, Joan Smalls, Isabeli Fontana, Natasha Poly, Mariacarla Boscono, Karen Elson and Alek Wek closed out Puglisi’s collection in spectacular style – all to a remixed soundtrack of Freddie Mercury’s Living on My Own.
Roberto Cavalli Spring 2025 Collection Review
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“This is really quite nice. It makes great use of the Roberto Cavalli codes. The accessories are on the weaker side but love the safari/resort energy.” [GoldenPetals]
“It was a cool collection, very wearable, simple, nice, but the last models ate the actual show.” [zacatecas570]
“I do like the last tribute section with all the big-name girls, but I like the women more. The dresses themselves are rather basic.” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]
“The problem with referencing Cavalli is that people can look up the old shows, compare and be disappointed. Cavalli was a master of glamour but also of leather. There was substance.” [Alquimista]
“Everything in fashion is either sterile or just a parody nowadays. RIP Cavalli.” [Scotty]
“Fausto Puglisi lacks the refinement and technical skill set of Roberto, the man – who could let his tacky freak flag fly, but he never lost sight of craftsmanship and making sure his clothes looked expensive. This stuff is very basic and cheap looking.” [lookatme]
