If you’re heading to Sabrina Carpenter’s Short ‘N Sweet tour, you might want to check the dress code first. Do you have a lipstick-kissed tank or sparkly corset? Check. Are you blowing out your hair into bouncy waves? Double check. Are you wearing a Short ‘N Sweet-inspired manicure? If you still need some inspo in that department, the singer showed off her tour nails on TikTok, and they’re so easy to copy.
ICYMI: Carpenter’s tour started yesterday in Columbus, Ohio, and ahead of last night’s show, the “Espresso” singer posted a video of her hanging out on stage lip singing to “Chim Chim Cher-ee” from Mary Poppins. In the video, Carpenter is wearing her signature fluffy curls and a robe, with her new manicure front and center.
In the first shot of the video, Carpenter places her hands on the door before popping her head out so we get a closer look at her nails. Her manicure consists of nude polish topped with chrome powder. On the ring finger of each hand, there’s a hand-painted red lipstick kiss (a nod to the album’s cover). The singer usually opts for a longer almond shape, but for the tour, she understandably went shorter, and her go-to manicurist, Zola Ganzorigt, painted on her natural nails.
It’s fun to see Carpenter branch out from her typical gem encrusted manicures or classic French tips, and the nail look would be so cute to re-create if you’re heading to the tour. What’s more, “stickerbook” nail details are super popular right now, and with her co-sign, the trend isn’t going away anytime soon.
To get the look, start by painting your nails with a pinky-nude polish such as OPI’s Bubble Bath or Essie’s Topless and Barefoot to create the “your nails-but-better” base. Next, layer on a chrome top coat using polish or powder. If you don’t have access to salon-grade chrome, starting with a shimmery polish like Gelcare’s Oyster Velvet or Olive & June’s Starfruit would also achieve a reflective nude shine. Lastly, paint on a red kiss mark, or grab a sticker from Deco Beauty’s Be Mine set.
