Serena Williams Debuted Bright Platinum Blonde Hair at the Olympics

The 2024 Olympics are here. The games will officially kick-off in Paris today, July 26, with the Opening Ceremonies at the Seine river. The ceremony is expected to be a star-studded occasion with hosts Kelly Clarkson and Mike Tirico and performances from Lady Gaga and Celine Dion. Celebrities have already descended to France for the occassion, and last night, Louis Vuitton’s Prelude to the Olympics event was packed with A-list athletes and celebrities including Zendaya, Tyla, Lebron James, and Serena Williams. 

Williams is celebrating a new era as she puts her racket down and embraces new endeavors like hosting the 2024 ESPY Awards and launching her cosmetics brand, WYN Beauty. The tennis GOAT turned CEO was one of the highlights of Louis Vuitton’s event in her black three-piece LV suit and matching blue bag. Her signature blonde hair was lifted to a platinum color and styled in long waves. She typically sports a warmer, honey blonde with dark brown roots so the bright blonde hair was a nice surprise and juxtaposition to her minimal black ensemble. Her makeup was subtle, but glamorous nonetheless. She wore a stunning shimmery purple shadow on her lid and a mauve lippie.

Williams has become increasingly immersed in the fashion and beauty world after her retirement. In April, she launched WYN Beauty with ten products ranging from concealer to eyeliner. She’s also emerged as a symbol of how fashion and sports intersect, dawning a slew of looks from iconic houses like Balenciaga and Ferragamo.

The Olympics is expected to be an extreme sport for both participating athletes and the fashion industry as luxury houses compete to gain as much visibility as possible during the games. We can’t wait to see what Williams pops out in next.
