Taylor Swift’s Makeup Artist Just Revealed Her Favorite Fall Lipstick

Even the most dedicated of Swifties haven’t been able to officially crack Taylor Swift’s coveted makeup routine. From debates surrounding her go-to fragrance to her signature blood red lipstick, we generally have to go off of zoomed-in screenshots and fan theories when it comes to her beauty favorites. However, we just got confirmation on one of her must-have products, and it’s a good one.

If you aren’t a Swiftie, the lore of the singer’s glam goes way back. She’s always been particularly hush-hush about the products she uses, but little by little, we’re learning more about her makeup rotation. For starters, Pat McGrath, who has been closely working with Swift for the past few years, released a “Bejeweled” collection with Swift-approved products (including a red lipstick) during the Eras Tour. At the VMAs, Swift finally confirmed that Tom Ford (likely Santal Blush) is her fragrance of choice, and now, her other go-to makeup artist just confirmed her favorite rusty nude lipstick.

As of late, you might have noticed Swift has swapped her bright red lipstick for a warmer orange red, somewhere between a brick and a cinnamon. shade. See: her VMAs glam or her recent denim-on-denim outfit at the Chiefs game. Her longtime makeup artist, Lorrie Turk, just confirmed that the shade is NARS Signature Lipstick in Morocco. Turk also noted that Swift has been wearing the shade “for years.”

Unfortunately, we have a bit of bad news. The exact formula that Swift wears isn’t available in the US, and sadly the brand’s Air Matte Lip Color in Morocco has sold out since Turk’s post. However, the brand suggests its Explicit Lipstick in No Shame and Air Matte in Gipsy as similar alternatives—both are warm cinnamon nudes.

We can see why Swift likes the NARS Signature Lipstick—the formula is a hybrid satin-matte finish that hydrates the lips with moringa and passion fruit seed oils. On the website, the color is described as a warm cinnamon, and look similar on Swift as it does in the packaging. Not to mention, it can survive a night of accepting a dozen awards and a rowdy football game.

Other selections we found to be a good match include Rare Beauty’s Kind Words Matte Lipstick in Fun, and Urban Decay’s Vice Lipstick in Uptight. Both have creamy, soft matte finishes and are a pretty good color match to Swift’s rusty red.

Below, we’ve rounded up a handful of recommended options for the dedicated Swifties. We’re officially in our (brick) Red era!
