Osea Hyaluronic Acid Body Serum
“I’m quick to apply a serum to my face, but not once have I ever considered applying one to my body. Osea’s Hyaluronic Acid serum has made me (and my skin) a believer. The formula is lightweight, which is perfect as a first step in my post-shower routine, and layers well underneath my moisturizer (which is also from Osea). My skin looks and feels hydrated due to the hyaluronic acid, peptides, and nutrient-rich seaweed. My skincare routine just reached the next level, and I’m ready for a glowy-girl summer.”
Sporti HydroLast Micro Back One Piece Swimsuit
“I recently completed adult beginner swim lessons, so I’m more than ready for the summer. Sporti’s HydroLast Micro Back One Piece Swimsuit checks all of the boxes when it comes to the perfect training suit. I feel comfortable in and out of the water, the fabric has great stretch, and it’s chlorine-proof, so I know it will last for many more swim lessons to come. If you’re looking for an affordable swimsuit that gets the job done, this one is for you.”
Ami Cole Soft Shape Waterproof Lip Liner
“I normally just reach for a lip oil or gloss and go on with my day, but I’m really trying to enter my lip combo era. I’ve been a fan of Ami Cole since its inception, so I was ecstatic when the brand finally launched lip liners. The shade ‘Midnight’ is the perfect deep brown liner—especially for those of us with deep skin tones. Lately, I’ve been applying the Petit Cola shade in the center of my lips and topping things off with the hydrating lip treatment oil.”
Mielle Pomegranate & Honey Curl Defining Mousse With Hold
“This product just earned a spot in my top three hair mousses. I had pretty high expectations for this product, but wow, I am truly blown away by the results. I am currently rocking a seven-day-old braid out, and my hair looks better and better each day. The hold is amazing, as I haven’t had to refresh my hair yet, and my curls are still showing and moisturized. If Mielle has one fan, it’s me.”
Hallie Gould, editor in chief
Sofie Pavitt Face Micellar Cleansing Pads
“I just bought my third round of these handy little micellar pads and I’m absolutely in love. As the weather gets stifling, a quick refresh is welcome ahead of my longer, multi-step routine. I use it both as a double cleanse (to replace an oil-based formula) and a mid-day refresh to cool off. The micellar, glycerin, and cucumber extract is a summertime dream. It’s especially wonderful for oily or acne-prone skin.”
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Dew Balm
“The pinnacle of summer beauty is a good, easy-to-use sunscreen. Glow Recipe gifted us with exactly that. This sunscreen serum stick is a cooling, glossy formula you can apply straight from the tube—no matter where you are. I like to keep it in my bag and swipe it on at work, in the sun, and pretty much anywhere else I’m near a window. Along with an SPF of 45, Dew Balm blends together niacinamide and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and protect in the short term, as well as help brighten your skin over time. You’re welcome!”
Kylie Cosmetics Powder Blush Stick
“I am nothing if not obsessed with glossy, dewy, shiny formulas. It’s essentially my trademark look. That said, I fell in love with Kylie Cosmetics Powder Blush Stick—the velvety formula and soft-matte finish offers a breath of fresh air amongst my sweaty skin. The cream-to-powder formula keeps my flush in place all day and makes me look like I have angel skin. I love it.”
Terra Kaffe TK-02 Super Automatic Espresso Machine
“Sure, this isn’t a beauty product. But if you feel like I do about coffee, you know it (like good skincare or makeup) can make or break your day. For me, good coffee is self-care. Enter: Terra Kaffe’s TK-02, a next-gen version of the brand’s stand-out espresso machine. You can put an entire bag of whole espresso beans in the machine, and it measures out how much to grind and how much water to include for every single cup. All I have to do is choose if I want an espresso, cappuccino, cortado, or even drip iced coffee, select it on the touch screen, and in seconds I have a barista-worthy cup. My dreams have come true courtesy of this beautiful little machine.”
Sachajuan Hair Bonding Booster Activator
“I’m always looking for easy ways to repair and nourish my hair, and this Booster Activator is just the thing. Made with microalgae and amino acids, the booster mixes in with your favorite treatment to boost the results. I like apply it with Sachajuan’s Hair Repair Treatment for all the extra shine, volume, and color retention (I did just go back to blonde, by the way). You can see and feel the difference after just one use.”
Samantha Brash, director of content strategy
Rag & Bone Miramar Walking Short
“It’s jean short season! Instead of reaching for stiffer, less comfortable styles, the shorts version of rag & bone’s insanely popular Mirar pants is about to be my go-to. They look exactly like denim but with the fit and feel of sweats. Yes, please!”
Ray-Ban Jack Sunglasses
“You can’t beat classic sunglasses, and no one does them better than Ray-Ban. Not sure which shape or style suits you? Sites like Sunglass Hut have a virtual try-on feature, which makes it so easy to shop without leaving your couch.”
ThirdLove Organic Cloud Cotton Thong
“Don’t get me wrong, I love a lacey thong. But in the heat of summer, I need something soft and breathable. Enter ThirdLove’s Organic Cloud Cotton Thong. With the perfect amount of stretch and free of irritants for sensitive skin, you’ll be swimsuit-ready all season.”
Crown Affair Texturizing Air Dry Mousse
“I don’t know about you, but I have zero plans to heat-style my strands this summer. How? With a luscious texturizing mousse, of course. Fan-favorite Crown Affair recently launched its first weightless styling foam formulated with Bolivian Pink Salt for natural texture and hold, Tsubaki Meadows for hydration and protection, and a blend of plant proteins to strengthen and volumize.”
IGK Good Behavior Shampoo & Conditioner
“Speaking of taming my unruly summer frizz (humidity is *not* my friend), I’ll also be keeping my hair in tip-top shape with a shampoo and conditioner routine from IGK’s Good Behavior line. The name speaks for itself!”
Eden Stuart, editor
Marcella Alyssa Infinity Top
“I’ll admit it: When I hear ‘convertible top,’ my first thought is bridesmaids’ dresses. Which, no shade to bridesmaids, isn’t what I want to look like when I’m… not a bridesmaid. This Marcella top blew that association out of the water. Off the shoulder or halter, tube or asymmetrical, this top creates such a clean, chic look; it’s the platonic ideal of a ‘dressing up jeans for dinner’ top. I want one in every color.”
Patrick Ta Major Brow Defining Pencil
“I had been gel-only on the brows for a while but recently decided to hop back on the fill-in train. This pencil by Patrick Ta makes me so happy I did. It has the perfect shape: It’s so easy to both carve out your shape and fill it in with pencil-like strokes. Plus, the pigment is great (the one I use, ‘Soft Black,’ is the perfect brown-tinged, warmish, natural black) and lasts all day. Bold brow summer, here we come.”
Violette_fr Bisou Blush in Aïssa
“Another ‘new to me’ find, this Violette_fr blush layers and blends beautifully, so you can go from ‘flushed and natural” to ‘bold’ with ease. And the color is just… really beautiful; the best way I can describe it is ‘pinched by a classy berry.’ This is another entry in my ‘I want to try this in every color’ file.”

Kosas BB Burst Tinted Moisturizer
“If, like me, you religiously used a drugstore BB cream growing up, this is the upgrade you’ve been waiting for. In a matter of days, I completely swapped out any other complexion product in my bag and began using this daily. After sunscreen, I apply two pumps of the formula into the palm of my hand and directly apply it to my face—it’s that simple. It has light-medium coverage and a dewy finish. In places I want to cover up a bit more, I go in with a creamy concealer (the Kosas Revealer is one of my favorites) and blend it with a sponge. My summer makeup has to be easy and low maintenance, so this will be a must-have for me in the coming months.”
Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Dior lip oil. As someone who has chronic chapped lips but also loves a hint of color, this formula is my dream come true. So when I heard that the brand was coming out with a new shade, I naturally jumped at the chance to try it. The new hue, Pink Lilac, is the perfect light pink-purple blend, making it the cool-toned sister to the iconic 001 Pink shade we know and love. I’ve been wearing it solo during the day and adding a pink lip liner at night.”
Tata Harper Superkind Calming Crème
“Ever since Tata Harper launched their Superkind Collection, it has been a constant in my daily routine. It’s specifically formulated for reactive skin (like mine) and addresses redness, hydration, and barrier support. This calming cream is the newest addition to the Superkind lineup, and I have been using it twice a day since I got my hands on a bottle. It is thick yet fast absorbing and instantly gives my skin a hydrated glow. In the morning, I start with the Bio-Barrier Serum and add just a pea-sized amount of the cream. But at night, I apply a thick layer before bed, almost as a DIY hydrating mask, and top with my favorite face oil. For all my eczema-prone people, trust me, this is a game changer.”
Iles Formula Finishing Serum
“As someone who rarely uses hair products outside of shampoo and conditioner, I cannot get enough of this finishing serum. It’s perfect for adding shine, taming flyaways, or as a pre-step before using a hot tool. The formula works best when heat activated, so I apply a generous amount through my mid-lengths to ends post-shower and let it do its thing while I give myself a blowout. I find that my styles last longer, and my thick hair feels soft to the touch without lacking volume.”

Hotel Lobby Candle Hamptons
“One of my favorite things about going to the Hamptons in the summer is the quaint farm stands that grace the side of Montauk Highway. They’re usually filled with bountiful summer produce—tomatoes, basil, corn, etc.—and have a unique scent that’s fresh, inviting, and nostalgic. This candle from Hotel Lobby Candle harnesses that exact ‘just back from the farmer’s market’ smell with a subtle dose of sweet geranium and rosewater to capture the essence of time spent Out East.”
Kosas Blush Is Life
“I’m usually a cream blush girl. I find that they add a certain glow to my skin that I can’t get with a powder formula. However, after trying the new Kosas blushes, I’m questioning everything I ever thought about blush. These baked blushes have squalane and hyaluronic acid nestled in the formula for hydration, and the multi-dimensional color duos add a flush of glowy, gorgeous color.”
Jenny Bird Lucille Anklet
“I love anything with pearls and shells right now, so this light summer anklet from Jenny Bird will be on my ankle until further notice. It’s dainty yet fun, thanks to a box chain peppered with freshwater pearls and adorable nautilus shells finished in high-polish gold. It adds a subtle bit of bling to any outfit, and I love the fact that it’s adjustable. Since you have the option of making it tighter or looser, it makes such a great one-size-fits-most gift.”
Alyssa Kaplan, commerce writer
Makeup By Mario Softsculpt Multi-Use Bronzing & Shaping Serum
“I’m a firm believer that a light layer of bronzer doesn’t just warm up your complexion; it pulls your entire makeup look together. This innovative bronzer serum from Makeup By Mario has been my go-to on days when I want to look sunkissed and natural. It blends into bare skin seamlessly, and it layers on top of foundation just as well. It’s lightweight, wears well throughout the day, and gives my skin a stunning, warm radiance.”
Saie Dew Bronze Soft-Focus Effortless Liquid Bronzer
“In keeping with my love of glow-boosting bronzers, I’ve fallen for this new release from Saie. It’s buildable and effortless to blend, and it melts into the skin, creating a natural, luminous finish. I reach for it when I want to both bronze and sculpt my face. The shade ‘Salt’ has a slightly cool undertone that beautifully compliments my light skin.”
Lisa Eldridge Seamless Skin Enhancing Skin Tint
“Come summertime, I love wearing skin tints since they’re typically more lightweight than traditional foundations. However, I often find they lack sufficient coverage. This one from Lisa Eldridge is everything I could want and more; it’s weightless, looks like real, natural skin, and offers light-to-medium buildable coverage. It layers well with makeup I apply on top, and I’m impressed that it lasts for about eight hours.”
Maybelline Lifter Liner
“My search for a creamy, long-wearing lip liner from the drugstore has finally come to an end with this new one from Maybelline. The formula rivals high-end options thanks to the way it glides onto the lips and locks in place. It feels light and non-drying, and I love that it’s available in a range of neutrals that complement different skin tones.”
Everlane The Double Strap Heel
“I love a pair of white sandals for summer, and this one from Everlane is my new favorite. The chunky heel gives my short frame a boost without being uncomfortable to walk in, and the simple design can be elevated with a dress for a special ocassion or dressed down with a pair of jeans for a casual dinner.”

Brown Girl Jane Dusk Eau de Parfum
“Brown Girl Jane’s Dusk Eau de Parfum never leaves my purse. It’s become my newest go-to scent. The fragrance has a milky, woody profile—containing notes like sandalwood, toasted almond, and vanilla orchids. The warm scent is super comforting and is one I’d wear year-round, but especially during the summer.”
Herbal Essences Apricot Oil Curl Defining Shampoo
“When you have curly hair, the last thing you want is for your shampoo to strip your hair of its much-needed moisture. Using Herbal Essence’s Apricot Oil Curl Defining Shampoo has helped me avoid this dilemma. It contains apricot oil, pure aloe vera, and camellia oil. The lightweight formula thoroughly removes all the buildup while still imparting moisture. My curls always feel so smooth and look incredibly shiny after cleaning with this shampoo.”
Beloved Vibe Vegan Body Wash
“I’ve used this body wash to the last drop. The gentle formula is made with plant-based ingredients like mimosa flower and bamboo extract, which work to cleanse and condition your skin. It lathers luxuriously and feels so comforting on my dry skin. Beyond its performance, the scent of this body wash is absolutely noteworthy. It’s infused with notes of passion flower, jasmine, fruit, and rose.”
Kendra Scott Marina Statement Stud Earrings
“I’m excited to add these Kendra Scott earrings to my summer jewelry wardrobe. The oversized shell shape will add a playful yet elegant touch to any of my warm-weather looks. Plus, I love that the vintage gold finish and texture feels incredibly luxe.”
Zo Skin Health Complexion Clarifying Serum
“During the summer, my skin can get a bit more oily and congested in some areas. To combat this, I like to use Zo Skin Health’s Complexion Clarifying Serum. The lightweight water-gel serum is made with salicylic acid and a host of complexes developed by the brand, allowing it to target excess sebum and refine pores. My skin is all the better now that I’ve incorporated this formula into my routine.”

Lisa Eldridge Seamless Skin Enhancing Tint
“I am generally a full-coverage girl all the way. However, this skin tint may have me changing my tune. It can easily be built up to the lighter side of medium coverage, evening out my redness while still letting my skin shine through. Where this tint really shines is the gorgeous finish—it has a true satin finish that looks just like healthy, dewy skin. Combined with the fact that it feels like absolutely nothing on, I know it will be a staple in my summer makeup bag.”
Benefit Cosmetics Plushtint Lip Stain
“I always love a ‘popsicle-stained’ lip look for summer, and the best way to get it is with a pretty pink stain. However, most stains on the market are super runny and cling to the dry patches on my lips like it’s their job. The aptly named Plush Tints from Benefit avoid this problem completely with their silky smooth texture and airbrushed finish. They make for the prettiest flush of color that stays put all day without any dryness whatsoever.”
Flamingo Estate Night Blooming Jasmine & Damask Rose Candle
“This is quite literally the best-smelling candle I have ever smelled in my life. I discovered it at the gorgeous new Skyting Yoga location (a must-visit if you’re in NYC) and knew it would be my go-to summer smell as soon as I opened the package. It smells like fresh jasmine on a steamy summer night, with a hint of orange blossom and sunscreen goodness. I ration it so as not to go through it too fast and will immediately buy another when it’s out.”
“I have decided I will be having a ‘matching set-summer,’ and the Amelie Teje Saint Valentine top and skirt are already shaping up to be my go-to night-out look. The set is so soft and comfy, and I love the ‘ballerina off-duty’ vibe of the wrap skirt. I wore it to my birthday drinks with tall boots, but I also can’t wait to dress it down with flip-flops and sunnies this summer.”

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Curls Detangling Deep Conditioner
“Lately, I’ve been obsessed with Aussie’s 3-Minute Miracle Curls Detangling Deep Conditioner. I always use a deep conditioner as a hair slip in the shower when detangling my 3c/4a curls. In the past, I’ve cycled through a lot of thick and hydrating formulas that leave my hair feeling great but don’t really aid in the detangling process. This deep conditioner’s texture is more gel-like than buttery, which initially made me skeptical. But now, I realize that’s what makes my tangles super slick and easy to glide through. The product boasts that it detangles with 90% less hair breakage, and I can at least attest to the fact that I see significantly less hair fallout during wash days. It’s also incredibly hydrating! I’ve skipped styling products a few times after using this deep conditioner, and I was surprised at how soft and smooth my curls felt. Plus, it smells heavenly.”
Soft Services Green Banana Buffing Bar
“It’s summer, my legs are out, and I’m on a mission to make them as silky smooth as possible. To do so, lately I’ve been using Soft Services Green Banana Buffing Bar, and it does the job perfectly. What I love about this buffing bar is that it’s low maintenance. Scrubs can be messy and leave globs in my shower, but this buffing bar lives happily in my soap dish, ready to be used at any moment. One side of the bar is soft, smooth, and hydrating, and the other side is made with superfine sanding crystals. After one use, my legs felt silkier than I thought was possible. This is a summer must-have!”
Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint
“I’ve been on the hunt for a skin-forward complexion product that still offers some coverage for the summer. As a full-face girly, it’s been tough to find a formulation that makes me feel comfortable making the switch. Recently, I got my hands on the Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint, and I’ve been hooked ever since. It has a light yet moisturizing texture that provides the perfect amount of light-to-medium coverage. I am trying to lessen the amount of foundation product I use, so I apply just a pump or two. But if I wanted a little more coverage, this product is extremely buildable. I love that it lasts through sweaty summer days, and best of all, it’s non-comedogenic, so I don’t have to worry about breaking while I’m on my journey to wearing less makeup.”
Ali Webb, associate editor
Freja New York Mini Chrystie
“Freja is undoubtedly the it-bag brand of this summer (the likes of Hailey Bieber, Alix Earle, and Anna Delvey have already worn it), so I was so excited to get my hands on its latest style. The Mini Chrystie’s semi-structured design has plenty of room to hold all your weekend and evening essentials, and its elongated ’90s-inspired silhouette and magnetic flap closure both feel on-trend and modern. I opted for the brand’s new shade, Pistachio, as an everyday statement, and it’s been perfect for everything from brunch to a Challengers opening weekend screening—garnering lots of compliments through it all.”
LSpace x Anthropologie Jasper Bikini Top
“LSpace and Anthropologie teamed up for one of the chicest swim collabs I’ve seen so far this season, full of mermaid details and dreamy lightweight cover-ups. The pearlescent pink shade of this top is fresh and distinct from Barbiecore and coquette-inspired shades, and the gold starfish detail elevates the look into exactly what you’d want to wear lounging poolside with a refreshing drink in hand. This swimsuit is absolutely inspiring me to maximize my time by the water this summer to embrace its energy as often as possible.”
Skin by Vee Gua Sha Cryo Sticks
“I recently got a facial from Vee Mistry during a period of stressed-out skin, and it was the refresh I needed, complete with buccal massage and lots of cryotherapy. One of the devices she used was this set of gua sha cryo sticks, which I now keep in my freezer at home to bring out whenever I could use an extra moment of self-care. The sticks rejuvenate skin in a variety of ways—from lymphatic drainage to regulating blood flow—leaving you with a calmer, depuffed complexion while also firming and enhancing natural contours.”
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Energy Eau de Parfum
“Charlotte Tilbury’s debut fragrance lineup, dubbed the ‘Collection of Emotions,’ is as evocative as it sounds and truly has something for everyone. My personal favorite is Magic Energy, an invigorating mix of palo santo, bergamot, and cypress in a vivid green, star-adorned bottle. If you love a woody fragrance, are trying to manifest something, or simply want to feel more grounded, this is a truly fresh addition to the fragrance world that’s sure to have you inspired.”
It Cosmetics Glow with Confidence Sun Cream Blush
“As the heat fully sets in, I’m starting to lean towards more easygoing beauty essentials that allow me to breeze out the door a bit quicker—but I’m still a makeup maximalist. It Cosmetics’ Sun Blush is the exact kind of multitasker I needed, with its skincare-infused cream formula available in five warm shades that toe the line between blush and bronzer. Once blended out, it has the kind of sun-kissed flush that I’m looking to feign all summer (because SPF is too important to skip), all while simplifying my routine.”
Shannon Stubbs, commerce writer
Deiji Studios Strapless Cotton Top
“I frequently wear all white (year-round, not just before Labor Day), so I’m always looking for white staples to add to my closet. And this top from Deiji Studios might be my favorite clothing item of all time. It has a loose, flowy fit that’s perfect for summer, and I love that it stays in place while I’m walking or dancing. Because of the loose shape, this top can definitely be dressed up or down and worn day to night. While it’s lightweight, the fabric feels high-quality and isn’t see-through—a must for me when commuting in the city.”
Corpus Naturals Body Butter
“I have extremely dry body skin all year round, so I can’t skip moisturizing, even in the summer. A body butter like this one from Corpus Naturals has everything I look for in a lotion: A rich, creamy texture that deeply hydrates my skin, a non-sticky feel, and a heavenly scent. It has notes of bergamot and orange blossom, so it feels like a nighttime treat when I apply it before bed. I love that when I wake up in the morning, my skin still feels soft and silky.”
Jones Road What The Foundation
“If I’m loyal to one thing, it’s my base coverage. I love to try different formulas for everything else that goes on my face, but I’ve stuck by the same concealer and powder duo for years. I wasn’t expecting to be impressed by this formula when I first tried it, but it’s become a new staple in my routine. It has a lightweight, almost pudding-like texture that settles into the skin instantly for a skin-like finish. It doesn’t look like I have foundation on (or any coverage at all), but my skin looks smoother and airbrushed—basically like I have perfect skin. It also has long-lasting coverage that doesn’t get shiny throughout the day, even without any powder on top.”
Nemohamo Full Barrier Serum
“This serum from Nemohamo has become a lifesaver for my chapped, dull skin. It has a milky consistency that feels nourishing as soon as I apply it, and it gives my skin a luminous glow that lasts all day. It’s made with natural ingredients like Panax ginseng, glycerin, and shea butter to hydrate and keep my skin barrier protected, so it almost feels like I’m taking a daily vitamin for my complexion. I love that the serum dries down immediately and doesn’t feel tacky when I apply sunscreen on top of it. It really gives my skin a brightening, hydrating boost in the morning.”
Lauren Pardee, senior commerce editor
Vacation Sunscreen Shake Shake SPF 50
“If you know me—or have read the last several Editors’ Picks, you know I love a milky formula. They’re hydrating and really make my skin glow. So when I saw Vacation launched a Mineral Milk Face Sunscreen, I couldn’t resist adding it to my AM routine. A heads up: It is fragranced—but it hasn’t irritated my skin at all. I like to mix it with Fenty Beauty’s Eaze Drop’Lit All-Over Glow Enhancer for an illuminating, nourishing, and protective face base.”
OUAI x Tower 28 ShineOn Lip Jelly
“Tower 28 partnered with OUAI to create a limited-edition St. Barts-flavored lip jelly that tastes like summer. We’re talking dragonfruit, orange blossom—possibly coconut—and other tropical flavors that don’t overpower: It imparts a subtly sweet flavor that’s just right. Even better, it’s chock-full of nourishing ingredients like apricot and raspberry seed oil that don’t feel tacky. So when you’re walking around in the summer humidity, you can count on this lip jelly as the only thing that isn’t sticking to everything.”
Ustawi Glow Protection & Shielding Mist
“Ustawi Glow Protection & Shielding Mist is my secret to reviving my makeup when it falls flat—a few spritzes and you’re instantly glowing, hydrated, and refreshed. Everyone wants to know what I’m using whenever I reach for it around friends. And, living in NYC, I love that it protects against pollution—so much so that it was clinically proven to block 92.5% of impurities.”
Dominique Hobdy, senior commerce editor
Jenny Bird The Pilot Sunglasses
“Jenny Bird is one of my favorite jewelry brands (I’m obsessed with my Gia anklet), so it just makes sense that their sunglasses debut would hit. I wasn’t fully convinced that the brand’s pilot shades would do the trick for me, but it’s giving chic, Matrix, Y2K vibes. They will be the baseline for at least one of my summer looks.”
YPB motionTEK Lined Pleated Skirt
“I’ve been dying to nail the ever-present tennis core trend, and this skirt does that and so much more. It’s made out of breathable, lightweight ‘motionTEK’ material, perfect for full-out workouts or a day of errands. Plus, there are shorts with pockets built in for convenience, and the light tan color that I grabbed gives the luxe vibe I was going for. I paired it with the Polo Tank, and now I want this set in every color.”
Le Labo Lavande 31
“I’m a perfume fanatic, and at this point in my career, I’ve tried the best of the best. Le Labo’s Lavender 31 has been my most used perfume for months now, and I can’t seem to shake it. It’s a lavender, unlike any other I’ve smelled before. For summer, I’m looking to leave a soft yet memorable scent in every room I walk into, and this will continue to be my go-to.”
Lalais Perfecting Serum
“Being an oily girl in the summer isn’t for the faint of heart. Aside from building character, it forces one to take preventative measures so as not to be held back by excessive shine and melting makeup. There are so many products on the market that aim to address oil, but Lalais has nailed it. Since using this serum, I can make it through the day without constantly blotting. Yet, I still have glowy, instead of dry and parched skin.”
Ally Hirschlag, senior commerce editor
Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream
“I’d heard a lot about the power this moisturizer packs, but didn’t really believe it considering the lack of chemical actives. Well, consider me proven wrong. This moisturizer makes my skin unbelievably soft and plump, looking minutes after I rub it in. It absorbs within seconds, and I never have an issue applying makeup right over it. I also love the subtle ocean-like (best way I can think to describe it) scent and that it has 30 SPF in it so that I can skip the sunscreen step. My skin stays smooth and soft all day, and I’ve noticed the fine lines on my forehead have definitely softened since I started using it about a month ago.”
Gensee Clean Sheen Lip + Cheek Color
“I’m always on the hunt for versatile, clean makeup products, but they almost always fall short in one way or another. This one from Gensee surprised me with how great it is as both a liquid blush and lip color. The monochromatic look it provides is subtle and stunning—the perfect mauve flush that brings out my blue eyes and ties the rest of my minimal makeup look together. I love that it keeps my lips soft and pairs beautifully with my neutral pink lip balms. It’s the perfect soft, satin flush for summer.”
Haus Labs Tricolone Skintech Concealer
“I’ve always had pretty dark under eyes (my friends used to call me the lost Tim Burton characters), and it has been challenging finding a concealer that really and truly covers them without looking like, well, makeup. This concealer from Haus Labs is one of the only products I’ve come across that does the job so well that I sometimes forget it’s not my skin. I don’t know how their ‘skin tech’ works, but it blends so seamlessly with my skin, never clings to dry patches, and resists creasing. The color is also such a good match (which is tough for me since I’m quite light but with yellow undertones). It is quite thick, so I really have to blend it out with a concealer brush, but I honestly prefer that to formulas that won’t stay put the second you get the least bit oily.”
Bask Moisturizing Sunscreen
“We’re officially in the ‘sunscreen all the time’ time of year, and truth be told, I’ve never found one I’ve truly jived with until I came across this one from Bask. I love that it’s mineral-based but doesn’t leave any white cast. It rubs in so seamlessly, I can get dressed within minutes after applying without any sticky feeling. It also has the loveliest, clean subtle scent. I don’t know where you’ve been all my life, Bask, but I’m so happy I’ve finally found you.”
