Tyra Banks to Return to Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After 19 Years

Former Victoria’s Secret Angel Tyra Banks is making a major comeback at the upcoming reinstated fashion show in New York City this October 15. Banks has previously been a part of nine VSFS shows during her term with the lingerie brand. To announce the news, the 50-year-old collaborated with Gigi Hadid in an Instagram video on the official Victoria’s Secret page. Hadid has walked in three shows and went on tour last year.

The video starts with Gigi Hadid entering a hotel lobby, pretending to do a runway walk in a silver sequin dress. There, Tyra Banks, wearing the brand’s logo shirt and jacket advertising the upcoming Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, greets her with an invitation. Telling Hadid, “It’s in there,” Banks walks away with her own invitation in hand. The caption says, “Sorry, couldn’t write a caption, we were too busy picking up our jaws off the floor at @tyrabanks and @gigihadid delivering VSFS invites. You understand.”

According to People Magazine, in May, Victoria’s Secret announced that it will return with its iconic, star-studded fashion show this year. In a statement, the brand revealed how they have “read the comments and heard you.” It further read, “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is ✨ BACK ✨ and will reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love—the glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment, and more! Stay tuned…it only gets more iconic from here.”

The brand also announced that several familiar faces will return to the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Some renowned models include Imaan Hammam, Candice Swanepoel, Grace Elizabeth, Devyn Garcia, Paloma Elsesser, Taylor Hill, and Mayowa Nicholas.
