One could argue that the extravaganza we call Fashion Month only truly starts when we hit Milan Fashion Week. Running February 21-25, there’s plenty to look forward to with the calendar Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana have bestowed upon us for Fall 2024.
Giorno uno and things get kick-started into high gear, with MFW staples Diesel, Fendi, Alberta Ferretti, Roberto Cavalli and Etro all showing. We will be able to bare witness to our first-look at Adrian Appiolaza‘s vision for Moschino on day two, in addition to being able to pour over the collections of Max Mara, Prada MM6 Maison Margiela, Emporio Armani and Peter Hawkings’ second outing as Tom Ford’s creative director. Staying in the theme of second outings, day three gives us Sabato De Sarno’s sophomore womenswear collection at Gucci. Friday (perhaps packing the most punch of the schedule) will also see the first Blumarine collection designed by creative director Walter Chiapponi and Matteo Tamburini will also unveil his seminal collection for Tod’s. Marni is also back on the MFW schedule for Fall 2024 – to celebrate 30 years of the brand. Versace will close out the mammoth showcase of events on Friday, no doubt set to be a dazzling showcase of high-octane glamour. Ermanno Scervino, Ferragamo, Dolce & Gabbana, Jil Sander, Missoni and Bottega Veneta will take place on Saturday, while the undisputed king of Italian fashion Giorgio Armani will close out the Milanese festivities on Sunday, February 25 – and then we’re off to Paris.
