Fashion girlies, prepare your wallets because Gap and Doên are launching a collection of California-inspired essentials just in time for summer. With sisters Lily and Ruby Aldridge as the face of the campaign, the collection is all about sisterhood, femininity, and crafting a timeless wardrobe. The limited-edition collection totals an impressive 51 pieces, and drops on May 17.
“Our collaboration with Doên celebrates a feminine aesthetic brought to life through some of our most-loved essentials,” said Mark Breitbard, President and CEO of Gap, in a statement “I can’t wait to welcome Doên fans to the Gap family to experience our product in a fresh new way.”
The limited-edition capsule is full of styles combining Doên’s feminine, vintage-inspired aesthetic with classic Gap pieces. Think: trendy sundresses with eyelet details, matching sets in summer-ready floral prints, and Gap staples like khaki and denim. There will also be complimentary children’s clothes and accessories. Pieces from the collaboration will retail between $20 and $158, compared to Doên’s usual price point of between $300 and $500.
In addition to spotlighting Doên’s trademark California cottagecore aesthetic, the mission to create wardrobe classics is the center of the collection. “As with all our Doên designs, the collaboration pieces were designed to be loved, worn in, and passed down—and we’re beyond excited to partner with Gap to be able to offer this to an engaged global community,” says Katherine Kleveland, Co-founder and CCO of Doên.
