Following a five-year hiatus from Fashion’s Biggest Night, Zendaya made her grand return to the Met Gala steps, serving as a co-chair for this year’s event. Adhering to the night’s “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” theme and “The Garden Of Time” dress code, Zendaya wore a jaw-dropping Maison Margiela gown styled by her longtime collaborator Law Roach. However, the crowd-pleaser that she is, Z didn’t stop at just one look. Instead, she removed her Clara Bow-inspired brows and revealed another jaw-dropping look: bleached eyebrows.
Zendaya removed the smoky eyes and maroon lipstick, which complemented her striking bird earrings and dramatic feather fascinator. She opted for a light glam look—that includes a light pink lip and flushed cheek—to juxtapose the vampy, off-the-shoulder, balloon-sleeve vibes of her satin-and-tulle encore dress from John Galliano’s Givenchy era circa 1996.
While the dress is an absolute showstopper, we can’t take our eyes off Z’s completely bleached eyebrows. The barely-there hue underscores her caramel blonde waves (styled by Ursula Stephen), which are tucked back into an elaborate bouquet-themed fascinator wrapped in black tulle, designed by Philip Tracy for Alexander McQueen back in 2006.
While the Challengers actress will certainly have a long career filled with looks that stand the test of time, we’re certain that her 2024 Met Gala looks will go down in the history books.
